(Reuters) - Russian natural gas producer Gazprom said on Saturday it had received a prepayment of $378.22 million from Ukraine for natural gas supplies, paving the way for the first shipments to Kiev since Moscow cut supplies in June.
Ukraine's state energy firm, Naftogaz, said on Friday it had transferred the sum to Gazprom for December. A Gazprom spokesman confirmed the money had been received.
In line with a deal signed by Naftogaz and Gazprom in October, flows to Ukraine from Russia, which were severed in a dispute over prices and debts, will resume within 48 hours from when the Russian firm receives the transfer.

Lijkt me sterk dat de nationalisten in Oekraine nu al connecties hebben met het verzet in Grozny. Kadyrov heeft een vreemd onsamenhangend verhaal. Lijkt me eerder een soort van waarschuwing naar andere seperatisten, vijanden van het Kremlin dat ze iedere vorm van tegenstand hard aanpakken. Misschien denkt hij het Kremlin hiermee een plezier te doen, dat hij deze aanslag niet heeft kunnen verijdelen zal hem kwalijk genomen worden. Hoe de relatie tussen hem en Moskou is weet ik niet, het is een rebellenleider die met z'n clan van kamp wisselde kort nadat de tweede Chechen war uitbrak. Ramzan Tsitsulayev, who detectives reportedly wanted to speak to in connection with a fraud case, managed to evade police after his bodyguards knocked them onto the floor during a special operation at a Moscow hotel last Wednesday. Tsitsulayev then left the country and his bodyguards were taken into custody for attacking police officers, Kommersant reported.
Despite his dramatic exit, Tsitsulayev told journalists after the incident that he had not been aware the men who tried to detain him were undercover police officers.

Vergeleken met 10 jaar terug is de boel redelijk stabiel en opgebouwd. Over EU-subsidies kan ik helemaal niks vinden, dus ik veronderstel dat het schip zonder subsidie uit Brussel gebouwd is. Het heeft 128 miljoen dollar gekost, en die kosten worden al gedekt doordat Gazprom, in reactie op de komst van de terminal, de gasprijs met 23% heeft laten dalen.
