Almost every single elite European club is trailing 15 year old Norwegian Martin Odegaard.

The youngster has been linked heavily with moves to Real Madrid and Ajax whilst Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Barcelona are all allegedly after him.

Already a senior International with Norway, the Stromsgodset star gave an exclusive interview with Bild in which he spoke about potential German clubs and his love of Liverpool.

Martin Odegaard admitted it has always been his dream to play for Liverpool but insists that will not affect his final decision.

“Liverpool have always been my dream club. But I will not let this affect my decision when I choose a new club. It’s all about finding the team that is best for me and for my development. That is not necessarily Liverpool.”

The 15 year old attacking midfielder spoke about the possibility of playing in the Bundesliga and told Bild that he already been to visit Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

“Yes, I can see myself playing in the Bundesliga. The German league is very strong. I don’t really have a favourite team in Germany, but Bayern and Dortmund are the teams I am following. They have shown in the Champions League that they are among the best.

“I didn’t take part in training at Dortmund. We only talked and they showed me around. Jurgen Klopp explained how the club works, how Dortmund feel about me and what they can offer me.

“I trained with Bayern and Stuttgart youth teams for a few days. The level is a lot higher than at the Norwegian youth teams. There was a big difference.”

Martin Odegaard says he is a long way off from choosing his next club but is “flattered” by the interest from all the elite European clubs.

“I haven’t really thought about my future yet. I will end the season here and then visit a number of clubs. I have not made a final decision yet, though.

“I don’t know what will happen in the future. Of course, it’s flattering when you hear that big clubs are after you, but I don’t think about it too often.”

Toch is Steen Olsen ook onder de indruk van Ödegaard, wiens naam iedere week aan een andere club wordt gelinkt. Ajax leek lang topfavoriet, maar ook Real Madrid, Liverpool en Borussia Dortmund zijn fanatiek. 'Ik scoutte Ödegaard toen hij 13 jaar was. Hij heeft alles, hij is snel, technisch en hij heeft een 'voetbal-hoofd'. Hij werkt er bovendien hard voor dus is het niet onlogisch dat hij op 15-jarige leeftijd al international is.'

'We nodigden hem uit bij Ajax, maar we hoorden niets meer', vervolgt Steen Olsen. Ödegaard speelt momenteel nog bij Strømsgodset IF, maar de verwachting is dat hij snel vertrekt als hij op 17 december 16 jaar wordt.

Ik heb mijn mening als analist gegeven, ik denk niet dat-ie naar mij luistert, maar zijn vader weet wat-ie doet.'

Ødegaard maakte eind augustus, op vijftienjarige leeftijd (!) zijn debuut in de nationale ploeg van Noorwegen. Bondscoach Per-Mathias Høgmo bracht Ødegaard eerder al in verband met de Amsterdammers. 'Of hij gaat naar een club gericht op zijn ontwikkeling, zoals Ajax, of hij gaat naar de absolute top.'

Martin Ødegaard (16) has landed in Madrid - again. VG are told that he should be close to a transition to what many believe is the world's biggest club, Real Madrid.

Sources at Rygge airport says that private aircraft with the world's most coveted football teenager, Dad Hans Erik (40) and agent Tore Pedersen (45) took off in 19.30 on Tuesday evening. More than three hours later, the Norwegian delegation have landed in Madrid.

Fits in A squad
