Zou dan de Nikon doen, die heeft VR aan boord (stabilisatie). Ik weet niet wat je budget is, maar ik zou even doorsparen en meteen voor de Nikon 70-300VR gaan.
Al zou ik zelf voor Thailand er een 35/1.8G bij scoren, zeker als je er ook in de avonduren en binnenshuis op uit gaat. Lekker licht en klein in combinatie met je D3100.

Geen snelheidsmonster dus in het donker is de AF iets minder betrouwbaar. Prima bij statische objecten. Minder handig bij sport etc. Maar collega heeft prima concert platen mee geschoten dus heel slecht is het ook niet.quote:

Ik heb voor 2014 een aantal bruiloften gepland staan. In 2013 heb ik steeds de D700 gehuurd voor bruiloften. Maar wil nu zelf een FX kopen.
De D800(E)/D4 zijn me te duur.
De D610 lijkt me een prima camera voor bruiloften. Geen "pro" body maar wel "pro" prestaties.

Focus punten in het midden hoeft geen belemmering te zijn, heb er met mn D700 in ieder geval geen last van, ook niet bij concerten. Je kan altijd nog focus-recompose doen vanaf een van de buitenste AF punten, en dan hoef je nog maar een klein stukje zodat je minder snel in de knel komt met krappe DoF.

Hoeft niet voor iedereen een probleem te zijn. Kan natuurlijk wel. Voor sportfotografie bijvoorbeeld heeft de D600 een prima sensor, maar alleen maar centrale focuspunten is bijvoorbeeld bij sportfotografie soms wel een probleem.quote:

Dan is het een ander verhaal inderdaad. Zit je verder nog met de 3d tracking in slecht licht, dan wil je liever het 51 punts focussysteem.

The proven Multi-CAM 3500 FX AF sensor module’s thoroughly recalibrated AF algorithms quickly zero in on its intended target— no matter how near, far, or abruptly a subject appears in the frame. Ja, kun je wel leuk de ISO-range ophogen, maar op een gegeven moment ga je daar toch geen toepassingen meer voor hebben omdat je meer dan genoeg hebt aan de hoge ISO-range eronder? Ik denk dat meer mensen zitten te wachten op iets meer resolutie. Niet meteen de race aangaan met een medium format sensor camera PhaseOne IQ250 die 50MP heeft ofzo, maar van een flagship camera verwacht je toch eigenlijk wel zo'n 24MP-36MP?

Het is simpelweg het doel voor ogen houden van je doelgroep.
Voor de doelgroep van de D4s is snelheid van belang.

Maar 12800 al liever niet. 25600 alleen als het echt nodig. Twee extra stops aan de bovenkant van de ISO range betekent hopelijk dat je dus zonder nadenken op 12800 of zelfs 25600 kunt schieten. En dat zijn wel 'normale' waardes
In beeldkwaliteit wellicht wel, de vraag is of je dan je framerate nog haalt want 24MP files met 11fps is een hoop data om te bufferen en/of weg te schrijven... Voor actie kun je beter 16MP schieten op 11fps dan 36MP op 6fps.quote:

M'n D600 gaat binnenkort terug naar Nikon, vlekjes op de sensor komen te snel weer terug en zitten bijna allemaal op de beruchte plaats linksboven.
Zover ik heb begrepen gaat Nikon er heel soepel mee om en wordt het goed verholpen, dus (voorlopig) geen reden om afscheid te nemen van deze fantastische camera

Heeft er iemand verstand van het spiegelmechanisme van de D5000 - of beter gezegd, een defect spiegelmechanisme? Heb er hier eentje liggen die halve foto's maakt, de onderkant is zwart - behalve als je de camera op de kop houdt, dan werkt 'ie prima. Af en toe blijft het spiegelmechanisme hangen, totdat je 'm op de kop houdt en een foto maakt.
Denk eerder een kapotte sluiter even Nikon service in Beverwijk bellen. Die kunnen het vast voor je oplossen. Of een prijsindicatie geven zodat je zelf de afweging kunt maken de camera dat waard is.

Ik heb mijn camera weer teruggevonden na er een jaar tijden mee gedaan te hebben. Ben er vanmiddag op uit gegaan, het bos in. Wel overgestapt op schieten in raw, ipv jpeg. Kwam er gelijk achter dat zelfs met die 6 megapixels 1 gig dan toch wat weinig is. 
Extra opslag is onderweg. Maar wat gebruiken jullie voor het bewerken en exporteren/converteren van raws? Ik gebruik nu View NX2, maar echt lekker werkt dat niet, beetje log en onhandig vind ik het.

Vanaf vandaag eigenaar van Nikon D3200... Ben zelf een beginner, maar ik merk gelijk dat de standaard kitlens zo zijn beperkingen heeft qua zoombereik. Daarom ben ik nu opzoek naar een leuke (2de hands) lens voor erbij. Voorzover ik het begrijp zal het een AF-S type lens moeten zijn. Aanraders?

Oh dan is de Nikon 18-200VR de minst slechte optie. Van Sigma en Tamron heb je ze ook, maar daar word je niet vrolijk van. Zeker niet als je wat minder licht tot je beschikking hebt, maar dat is sowieso een heikel punt met dit soort lenzen.

wat is er nu precies weggelaten dat wel op de D700 zat, maar niet op deze?

vooral dat laatste mis ik af en toe nog wel op m'n D600, evenals het 51 punt focussysteem. Die 39 van de D600 zitten echt op een hoopje in het midden, wat soms wel irritant kan zijn (ik kwam van de D300, waar ze veel wijder zitten).
