Ik heb al lang geleden geleerd, dat dit soort mensen helaas nooit veranderen. Zelfs mijn held Allen Iverson, na alles wat hij in z'n leven doorgemaakt heeft, is al z'n geld nu kwijt. Iemand als DeMarcus Cousins ofzo zal ook nooit een grote speler worden, vanwege z'n attitude.
Als iemand in de league komt, weet je al wat voor een soort speler het is. Iemand met 'raw talent' ontwikkelt zich zelden of nooit tot een grote speler. Slechts weinigen is dat gegeven, en diegenen die dat hebben, hebben een ijzersterke mentaliteit (een KG, een Kobe Bryant). Maar hoeveel 'prospects' haalden het niet op mentaliteit? Terrence Williams kan een walking triple-double zijn, zou misschien top 10 spelers in de league kunnen zijn. Maar z'n mentaliteit houdt hem tegen... Zelfde verhaal met een JR Smith (die dit seizoen, zeker einde van het seizoen briljant speelde. Maar in de PO's toch weer verdwijnt niet meer naar de FT line komt, etc.)

The results are subsequently presented in a short ceremony (typically broadcast prior to or during halftime of an NBA playoff game), in which the order of the lottery is announced in reverse order, from the fourteenth selection to the first. Representatives from each NBA franchise with a lottery pick are present at the lottery ceremony.
The decision of not showing the ping-pong balls live has fueled speculation that the NBA will occasionally fix the Draft Lottery if it can benefit the league. The root of this speculation is the 1985 Draft Lottery that sent Patrick Ewing to New York, with the theory being that the NBA wanted to send the best player in the draft to New York to increase ratings in a large television market. The first envelope drawn was the 1st pick, and it went onwards up to the 7th pick.
