Not a big surprise, but CBS has cancelled the low-rated We Are Men. 2 Broke Girls is moving to 8:30p, and repeats of The Big Bang Theory will air at 9pm the next couple of weeks. Mike & Molly returns on Monday, November 4 at 9pm.

The network, unhappy with the quality of scripts as they were coming in, is basically cancelling the midseason sitcom, TVLine has learned.

The Fosters has been renewed for a second season, ABC Family announced Friday.

The Fosters stars Teri Polo and Sherri Saum as gay parents of a multi-ethnic family that includes both foster and biological kids. Jake T. Austin, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell and Cierra Ramirez round out the family unit.

The second half of Season 1 returns in January.

'Franklin And Bash' Renewed For Season 4 On TNT

"Franklin & Bash" has been renewed for Season 4, according to Deadline. The offbeat legal series, starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer, will return to TNT next summer.

Heather Locklear, who joined the cast in Season 3, reportedly only signed a one-year deal, with Deadline reporting that a new agreement will need to be negotiated before she can return for the upcoming season.

The series is the last of TNT's dramas to learn of its fate, with "Falling Skies," "Rizzoli & Isles," "Major Crimes" and "Perception" earning additional season orders, while "King & Maxwell" was canceled.

CBS points out that The Crazy Ones, starring Williams, is this season’s No. 1 new comedy in viewers (13.7 million), adults 18-49 (3.6 rating/10 share) and adults 25-54 (4.8/12). It also wins its Thursday time period in viewers.
The Millers ranks as the number two comedy in viewers (12.4 million), adults 18-49 (3.2/09) and adults 25-54 (4.3/11). Last night, it retained 97 percent of its premiere rating in adults 18-49, 98 percent in adults 25-54 and 93 percent of its premiere audience. Mom is the third most watched new comedy, averaging 7.98 million viewers, and earning a 2.6/06 in adults 18-49 and a 3.2/07 in adults 25-54.

“We’re proud of CBS’ leadership position in comedy and excited to build on it with the back nine pick-ups of these three new comedies,” said CBS President Nina Tassler in a statement. “These series are creatively distinct, continue to improve each week and are led by strong showrunners, writing and production staffs, and feature amazingly talented casts.”

Not only did Fox pick up the Andy Samberg-fronted police satire for a full season, but the network announced that the rookie series will join New Girl in a “special one-hour comedy event” after Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014.

The police satire, starring Samberg, Terry Crews and Andre Braugher, drew a solid 6 million viewers and a 2.5 demo rating in its debut last month.
“It’s exciting to see that both critics and fans love Brooklyn Nine-Nine as much as we do,” said Fox prez Kevin Reilly. “With Andy and Andre out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time.”

Community is returning to the schedule while Ironside and Welcome to the Family have been put out to pasture. NBC announced Friday that Community will launch its fifth season on Thursday, Jan. 2, with back-to-back episodes starting at 8/7c. The following week, the Greendale gang will settle into their Thursday lead-off spot followed by Parks and Recreation (moving to 8:30/7:30c)

Welcome to the Family, which has already aired its final episode, will be replaced by Parks and Rec encores and various specials until Community takes over.

Additionally, the Chicago Fire spin-off Chicago P.D. will bow Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 10/9c, replacing axed drama Ironside. (which airs its final episode Oct. 23). Holiday and themed Saturday Night Live specials will fill the Wednesday-at-10 void throughout November and December.

Heeft ook te maken denk ik met de hoge eisen. Als er te snel te weinig kijkers zijn dan worden ze gelijk gecanceld ja. Series zouden meer de kans moeten hebben om langer te draaien en wellicht wordt de serie dan ook beter.

Inderdaad hoe kunnen ze nou na 2 of 3 afleveringen al weten hoe een serie zal zijn.
Alleen maar omdat er weinig kijkers zijn, misschien zenden ze het wel op een verkeerd tijdstip uit o.i.d.
Er zijn zat series volgens mij waarvan de eerste 2 of 3 afleveringen echt niet geweldig waren en het uiteindelijk toch een goede serie was.
Denk dat ik nu ook maar wacht met kijken tot een heel seizoen uitgezonden is, want dit begint echt te irriteren.
