Trivia van welke film?
In tegenstelling tot de meeste succesvolle boekverfilmingen, is hier de actie bijna woord voor woord overgenomen uit het boek van X, en verloopt ook in diezelfde volgorde. Bijv. de laatste monoloog scène, die in het boek ook op de laatste pagina staat. Echter is het ongebruikelijk dat er bij deze film veel van de dialoog is weggelaten uit het boek, iets wat normaal gesproken bij deze films niet gebeurt vanwege de (letterlijk) sprekende personages.

Een foto van een bordeel klant uit 1979 diende als model voor het kapsel van X. Toen X voor het eerst zijn nieuwe kapsel zag, zij hij dat hij nu zeker niet met een vrouw het bed zou delen voor de komende twee maanden. Een high-five volgde op zijn reactie, waarmee duidelijk werd dat X er inderdaad zo creepy uitzag als gehoopt.
