http://insession.blogs.cn(...)-as-mj-audio-played/The jury was focused on their transcripts as an audio recording of what sounded like a drugged Michael Jackson played out in court.
But family and fans of Michael Jackson were not nearly so reserved while the recording made six weeks before Jackson's death amplified across the court.
"The audio was all over, it was like surround sound in that courtroom," said In Session correspondent Jean Casarez, who is attending the trial.
Randy and Jermaine Jackson shared a few words as the tape began to play. Then they sat in silence, listening and reading.
Casarez said that some members of the public gallery — which includes many Michael Jackson fans — sat with their heads held in their hands. And when the tape was over, many started fanning themselves as if it was all too much.
"It was quite a moment," Casarez said.
And it seems like it was quite a moment for Jermaine Jackson, too. One of our producers who's also inside the courtroom said he saw Jermaine visibly tear up and wipe his eyes with a handkerchief at the end of the tape.
Live now. Make now always the most precious time. Now will never come again. JL Picard
