Gewone Grieken zien helemaal niets van de zogenaamde steun. Sterker nog, in ruil voor de
torenhoge renteaflossingen aan de financi�le sector moeten zij bloeden.

Nadat de lonen afgelopen anderhalf jaar met gemiddeld 15 procent zijn verlaagd, sociale
zekerheid is gesaneerd en allerlei publieke diensten zijn wegbezuinigd, zouden ze nu een nog
verdergaande neoliberale kaalslag moeten accepteren.

In de woorden van minister van Financi�n De Jager: ‘Er is maar ��n oplossing om uit deze crisis
te komen. Een heel erg stevig, pijnlijk aanpassingspakket van de economie, bezuinigen en
privatiseringen, of er nu politieke tegenstand is of niet. Dat maakt mij niet uit.

Het is nu geen tijd voor onwil. De Grieken moeten gewoon doen wat we hebben afgesproken.
Als het nodig is dat ze nog iets extra’s moeten doen dan zullen ze dat ook moeten doen.’

Dan hebben we het onder andere over het sluiten van ziekenhuizen, schuldenaars afsluiten van
water en energie, openbaar vervoer ontmantelen en kinderen van school sturen.
Een kleine prijs voor het redden van het financi�le systeem.
