Klinkt voor mij ook als omgekeerde logica inderdaad. Als ik niet thuis ben in een genre, vind ik daar in eerste instantie juist bijna niets in goed, i.p.v bijna alles...
Nouja, het kan ook zo zijn dat je het genre hebt leren waarderen maar de echte pareltjes nog moet leren kennen. Daardoor kunnen de mindere bands in het genre aanvankelijk nog interessant zijn, maar zodra je beter kent kun je ze al snel afschrijven.

Een beetje wat Jabberwocky zegt. Als je eerst niet van een genre hield, dan wel, dan kan je op dat moment alles uit dat genre goed vinden. Maar dat is niet helemaal wat ik in dit geval bedoelde. Drie jaar geleden leerde ik elektronische muziek waarderen, nu kan ik bijna alle muziek waar elektronica in zit waarderen, i.t.t. alle muziek waar een gitaar in zit. Ik vraag me af of dat komt doordat ik pas drie jaar naar elektronische muziek luister: Ik heb in die drie jaar vooral naar elektronische muziek geluisterd waar media die doorgaans over (indie)rock schrijven over berichtten. Burial is zo'n artiest die het bij die media en bijbehorend publiek goed doet. Ik heb nooit de moeite genomen om me te bezig te houden met genrespecifieke media - "ik ben niet zo thuis in elektronische muziek". Misschien (zoals je kunt zien staat er een vraagteken in m'n post) is dat de reden dat ik zo'n artiest die krioro aanraadde goed vind.quote:

Vooral bij dubstep zo. In begin vind je die bass zo geweldig en wil je steeds meer en harder. Maar na tijdje als je er steeds verder in verdiept wordt het alleen maar belachelijker en eentoniger en ga je meer op zoek naar de echte pareltjes.
