Ook leuk om te merken dat er nog steeds tributes worden georganiseerd of eerbetonen worden gedaan. Ik merkte laatst toen ik de Toppers in Concert 2010 DVD zag dat die ook Thriller en We Are The World hebben gezongen. En laatst bij Sterren Dansen Op Het IJs ging bokser Remy Bonjasky op Beat It dansen. Met een toepasselijk rode jacket!

Op het moment dat poplegende Michael Jackson vocht voor zijn leven, hing zijn lijfarts Conrad Murray aan de lijn met een serveerster waar hij wel een nummertje mee wilde maken.
De 24-jarige serveerster vertelt in een interview met de nieuwszender dat Michael Jackson nog zou leven als dokter Conrad iets meer aandacht voor zijn patiënt had, in plaats van haar. Hij gaf me vaak geld en hij belde mij regelmatig. Op de dag van Michaels dood hebben we ook contact gehad. Conrad klonk toen ernom afgeleid en ik hoorde gehoest op de achtergrond. Toen hij niet meer reageerde wist ik dat er iets fout zat, en hing ik op.
Toen ik enkele uren later het nieuws van Michael hoorde legde ik direct de link met het geprek dat ik eerder met Conrad had. Ik ben boos dat hij niet goed voor Michael heeft gezorgd, juist toen hij het nodig had.
Het tijdstip van het telefoontje, in combinatie met de gespreksduur vormen een belangrijk onderdeel in het proces tegen Conrad, die ten tijden van het geflirt met Sade een relatie had met de 28-jarige stipper Nicole Alvarez.

Waarom werd Man in the Mirror altijd ge lip-syncd, de enige reden die ik me kan bedenken is dat het live vocaal misschien niet helemaal haalbaar was? Maar toch lijkt me dat niet echt het geval.

Meest voor de hand liggende redenen: stemproblemen tijdens Dangerous + HIStory Tour en het is nou eenmaal een tricky nummer om te zingen.

ff iets anders: kan iemand mij uitleggen waarom de term kinderlokker tegenwoordig automatisch aan MJ wordt gelinked in de media en de maatschappij als men zijn naam laat vallen?

Ik merk het ook dat mensen om mij heen MJ zien als kinderlokker/pedofiel e.d. Ik denk dat het te maken heeft dat er veel in de media werd geroddeld, en vooral met die rechtszaken van de jaren 90 en rond 2004/2005. Het werd veelzijdig gemeld waarvoor hij was aangeklaagd, er werd weinig opgepakt van het feit dat hij onschuldig is verklaard voor alle delicten. Ik denk dat het bij mensen is blijven hangen, omdat de media vaak mensen vernielt, letterlijk. MJ is ook vernield, en vooral omdat hij al weinig muziek maakte afgelopen jaren, en wel een rechtszaak had, werd zijn artiestzijnde weinig meer genoemd. The English songbird wrote and produced the song "Butterflies" for Michael Jackson's INVINCIBLE album.

I just think that’s a blessing.”

“Michael Jackson was a practical joker. He was just funny! And his laugh just made you laugh. When we were in the studio, his engineer kept calling me a singing heifer. And [Michael] would tell the engineer, ‘You know a heifer is a cow, that’s a cow.’ I’ll never forget that. So I’ll always be Michael Jackson’s singing heifer.”
The former Floetry member will release her debut solo LP March 1st.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor also approved television cameras in court for the trial.
Pastor had set the trial to start March 28 when Murray invoked his right to a speedy trial during his arraignment last month. But the judge later decided it was cutting too close to the 60-day limit.
"Absolutely, we simply can't start on the last day," Pastor said.
The opening statements are likely to be delivered during the first week of April. The trial is expected to last about six weeks, according to the defense and prosecution.
Murray, who remains free on $75,000 bail, was not in court for Monday's hearing. His lawyers said he was busy earning a living with his medical practice in Las Vegas and Houston.
Pastor blocked the doctor from using his California medical license until the trial is completed. The state medical board requested that be made a provision of his bail.
Murray entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment last month.
"Your honor, I am an innocent man," Murray said.
He was Jackson's personal doctor when the pop star died June 25, 2009, from what a coroner ruled was "acute propofol intoxication," in combination with "the contributory affects of the benzodiazepines.
