Bedankt. De reden waarom er veel recente albums in staan komt voornamelijk door de festivals in het voorjaar. In die periode concentreer ik mij op de artiesten die langskomen (zoals dit jaar oa The Gaslight Anthem, Phoenix, Midlake, Muse en Arcade Fire). Nu probeer ik zoveel mogelijk nieuwe artiesten en albums te ontdekken. Al die lijsten die hier langskomen, zorgen in ieder geval voor genoeg inspiratie

En, de nummer 1 lijkt me ondertussen ook wel duidelijk....vrijwel in elk lijstje zie ik die echt heel hoog staan...

Okee. Zou goed kunnen. Maar weer een andere nummer 1 zou ook wel leuk zijn.

Zeker omdat ik OK Computer echt veel minder zie dan vorige jaren. Worden mensen toch een beetje moe van geloof ik. Evenveel Radiohead in de lijstjes maar veel meer verspreid over alle albums Beetje het beatles probleem

En Joy Division of the Smiths (die volgens mij 3 jaar terug altijd bovenaan stonden) zie ik ook steeds minder...Evolueert Fok of is het gewoon toeval?

En als er al een andere #1 komt dan denk ik dat vooral Arcade Fire in aanmerking komt..ik zie door the Suburbs toch wel een vernieuwde populariteit van Funeral...

Het interessants vind ik daarom om te begrijpen waarom de lijst toch elk jaar weer anders wordt. De inhoud maakt me verder niet zoveel uit

Nou wat ik al zei. Een tijd terug was het punk en new wave in de top. the Smiths, Joy Division, Pixies, the Cure...dat was alles in de top 10...toen werd het vooral heel veel alternative indie enzo, Radiohead, Neutral Milk Hotel, interpol...toen werd het ineens heel veel PF...en ik heb nu het gevoel dat er wat meer wat minder cliche albums de top 10 inkomen...Bijvoorbeeld een Kid A van Radiohead ipv van een OK Computer...alhoewel de grote lijn in de top 100 waarschijnlijk nog wel ongeveer hetzelfde zal zijn ja....

Kom op, Pink Floyd op 1, clicheër kan het niet

Ik vind OK Computer op #1 meer cliche dan PF op #1, maar I know what you mean

Niet echt, voordat OK Computer uit was, stond Pink Floyd al altijd op 1 in de albumlijsten.

Toen hield ik albumlijstjes nooit in de gaten Maar was het dan ook altijd Wish You Were Here dat bovenaan stond? Dat vind ik stiekem ook nog wel interessant...Dark Side of The Moon (wat ik persoonlijk hun minste album vind ) is toch wel een hun grootste succes. Daarom wel interessant dat WYWH op fok altijd hoger staat of niet?

Is The Wall niet hun grootste succes? (commercieel gezien)

Ik vind de persoonlijke lijstjes ook altijd het leukst, vooral voor het inspiratie doen. De 'welke geniale albums heb ik nu weer gemist' gedachte.
Toch vind ik die totaallijst ook leuk. Ben vooral benieuwd of bepaalde favoriete albums die eerder alleen of enkel met 1 persoon deelde aan populariteit gewonnen hebben.

Nou ja, als je naar RYM kijkt dan staan ze op 5 en 6 in de algemene alltime charts.

Overigens grappig om alle speculaties te lezen met de tussenstanden in het achterhoofd

PF is de band die ik het langst luister van allemaal, sinds ik 4 was haha, en ik heb tot mijn 21ste nooit geweten dat ze zo populair waren...ik dacht juist altijd dat ik heel erg cool was omdat ik de enige was in mijn vriendenkring die het luisterde Op last.fm staan ze ook 3e ofzo qua aantal plays...En dat terwijl ik ze niet eens zo toegankelijk vind ofzo...Maar goed, dat is Radiohead ook niet.

Maar goed. Ranja lacht ons vast uit, straks staan de beatles gewoon op #1!
