384 Miranda Sex Garden- Play

De meese mensen zullen met Miranda Sex Garden in aanraking zijn gekomen door de festival cd van Ein Abend in Wien. Toen hadden ze net hun debuut album uit, volledig a-cappella met middeleeuwse koralen... na dit album kwam de EP Iris waarop de overgang van a-capella naar zang-met-muziek te horen was. Die ep heb ik destijds gemist, dus toen ik op 120 Minutes op MTV de 1e clip van het album Suspiria zag wist ik niet wat me overkwam. Ook dit nummer begint a-capella maar al snel komt er een viool bij en vervolgens wordt naar een climax toegewerkt waar een band als Sonic Youth zich niet voor zou schamen. Al moet Kim Gordon dan eerst met terugwerkende kracht gecastreerd worden. Kortom: Play. Als in: Play Loud.
