Blijft de beste RPG die ik ken:







Albion, best wel oude RPG maar ik ben er jaren zoet mee geweest. De stijl is geweldig en het verhaal zit zeer sterk in elkaar. Gameplay zit ook best wel goed.








Dit is dus dwarf fortress, het heeft geen graphics zoals je al ziet, maar de hele wereld is dynamisch gegenereerd en alle NPCs hebben AI waar The Sims nog een puntje aan kan zuigen. Een soort combinatie van Dungeon Keeper en Spore maar dan beter.




Crusader, effe lekker knallen. Alles waar je op schiet gaat op een gruwelijke manier dood met bijbehorende graphics en geluid, zoals deze ongelukkige die in de fik staat. Death animations en gore van huidige games zijn er echt niets bij.


Teleporter accident, heh heh heh.

Bij deze het overzicht. Ik ben gelukkig nog van de begintijd van alle spelletjes, dus ik vind dat ik recht heb op spreken Dit zullen niet per se de diepste of beste spellen zijn aller tijden, maar liever, de spellen die mij het meest hebben beïnvloed of geraakt (vernieuwend, mooi, leerzaam, grijsgespeeld etc).

01. Half-Life: Counterstrike (PC) - helemaal gaargespeeld, doe 't af en toe nog.
02. Alien vs. Predator II (PC) - te leuk. Human zijn is fokking eng, alien zijn is fokking snel. Speel 't nogsteeds online.
03. Baldur's Gate II (PC) - Beste RPG. Punt.
04. Tekken III (PlayStation) - uuuuren tegen m'n veel te irritant goede broertje gespeeld 8)
05. Starcraft (PC) - Beste RTS. Punt.
06. Neverwinter Nights (PC) - Beste open world - tal van fanmade quests die je kon volgen. Toentertijd ook schitterende engine.
07. Dungeon Keeper II (PC) - It's good to be bad. Slap those imps! Sac those heroes!
08. Half-Life II (PC) - Verhaal blijft goed, en dan met zwaartekrachtapparatuur met mensen slingeren is gewoon erg leuk.
09. Mortal Kombat (Arcade machine) - het was nieuw en leek echter dan Street Fighter. Veel statiegeldflessen voor ingeleverd
10. Fallout (PC) - ontzettend goede sfeer, heel anders neergezet, lage systeemvereisten. Uber!
11. Sid Meier's Pirates! (AtariST) - rondvaren, scheepjes zinken, geld verzamelen.. verslaafd.
12. Civilization IV (PC) - Op emperor en 18 spelers Culture Victory gehaald, nu de laatste nog.
13. Silent Service II (AtariST) - onderzeeërtje spelen en jappen zinken.
14. Dune 2 (PC) - zo'n beetje de eerste RTS, heeft me ook de nodige proefwerken gekost
15. Baldur's Gate (PC) - Voorloper van beste RPG, en ook geniaal.
16. Red Alert (PC) - eindeloos tegen vrienden gespeeld, eindeloos mensen pissig gekregen
17. Rogue (AtariST) - voorloper van NetHack.
18. Quake II (PC) - de eerste FTS waar ik echt goed in was.
19. Starglider (AtariST) - een van de eerste 3d (wireframe) spellen voor de ST. Uuuuuren mee verspeeld
20. MetalKnights (PC) - een van de eerste multiplayer internet spelletjes. Reteverslavend.
21. Carmageddon II (PC) - eindelijk 'n kans om juist je NIET aan de verkeersregels te houden!
22. Xenon (AtariST) - het origineel, en godsonmogelijk om uit te spelen. Ik heb Lvl3 nog gehaald.
23. Lords of Chaos (AtariST) - Soort vereenvoudigd AD&D, toentertijd zeer mee geamuseerd.
24. Populous 2 (AtariST) - Voor God spelen, wie wil 't niet!
25. Diablo II (PC) - Simpel hack en slash, erg vermakelijk.

Ik heb een orgineel russisch exemplaar in huis (gekocht op vakantie) dus ik vind dat ik wel degelijk Ил-2 Штурмовик mag neerzetten inplaats van IL-2 Sturmovik. Tevens ziet het er inderdaad wel interessant uit...

1. Morrowind [PC] (Veel content, speelt als een droom. Expensions zijn ook briljant en het heeft een gigantische mod community. Oneindig lang zoet mee geweest)
2. Metroid Prime [GC] (Meest sfeervolle AA ooit. Meta Ridley is de beste boss fight ooit gemaakt, vooral als je low% speelt )
3. Zelda: Link's Awakening [GB] (Leukste Zelda game ooit, en ook gelijk de beste GB game. En de Gameboy was een geweldig concept)

Van te voren even melden dat ik niet echt een hardcore gamer ben en ook niet verschrikkelijk veel games gespeeld heb. Verder ben ik nogal een race fan. Dat moet er dan één van deze twee zijn:
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces (1997) - Star Wars Dark Forces (1995)
Ikzelf vind Star Wars Battlefront (2005) de beste Star Wars FPS... alleen niet voor in mijn Top25.

Die tweede, tsja dat kennen er zo veel zijn. In het DOS tijdperk waren detective games het nummer één genre volgens mij... denk dat er wel bijna 1 detectivegame per dag uitkwam...
