Tyrese has a song writing credit on Michael Jackson's Invincible album. The song "2000 Watts," produced by Teddy Riley, was initially supposed to be the title track to Tyrese's sophomore album, released in May.
Tyrese said that he is happy that Jackson decided to use the song, just one example of their joint efforts. "Yeah, it feels good man because he could have changed the title, he could have did anything," Tyrese said. "You know with me having the Watts Foundation, Michael is also doing some charitable things with the city of Watts, along with myself, and I'm just happy about that. He's letting 35 kids come to Neverland. He was supposed to be giving a shout out in the credits to the kids in Watts. I'm just real excited about it. He's put Watts on the map. He's gonna take it worldwide."
And with the worldwide recognition, comes a check to match. When asked how it felt to have Jackson record one of his songs, he could hardly contain himself. "Let me just put it to you like this, 'Ching, ching.'...Worldwide pimping, baby!"
Haters everywhere but I don't really care.
