Het is wat dubbel. Aan de ene kant hoop je dat het lukt zoveel mogelijk materiaal naar buiten te krijgen waaruit goed duidelijk wordt wat er zich afspeelt. Aan de andere kant ben je natuurlijk ramptoerist 1e klas achter je peeceetje.

Die beelden waren er gisteren al, zijn waarschijnlijk zaterdag opgenomen. Er is trouwens ook een filmpje wat volgens mij vanaf dezelfde positie is opgenomen waar precies het tegeovergestelde gebeurt (betogers vluchten weg). Ik weet alleen niet in welke volgorde het heeft plaatsgevonden.
BTW, naar ik heb begrepen zijn er gisteren vrijwel geen betogingen geweest. Ben benieuwd wat er vanmiddag nog gaat gebeuren.

Py, met die gedachte zit ik nou ook.. klinkt misschien een beetje cru, maar ik hoop dat er veel beelden naar buiten komen

Ja. Liever nog zo snel mogelijk berichten die een einde maken aan de onrusten.
Maar ik denk dat het deze week nog doorgaat. Khamenei heeft weer aangekondigd dat hij het vrijdaggebed gaat leiden.

Ja, die is al een week oud hoor, maar deze grand ayatollah staat al enkele jaren onder huisarrest - dus ook al is hij 1 van de hoogste geestelijk leiders (hij staat geloof ik zelfs boven Khamenei) , de politiek luistert niet meer naar hem, sommige politieagenten wel gok/hoop ik...

Vind ik niet. Dat zou het geval zijn als het een vraag- en aanbod situatie was. Het is njiet zo dat wij om gruwelijke beelden vragen. Het is dat zij dolgraag willen dat zo veel mogelijk mensen die beelden zien.
Dit gaat om een regime wat het land hermetisch van de buitenwereld wilde afsluiten om het opstandige volk bruut neer te slaan/schieten. Die paar lekjes waar nu nog nieuws door naar buiten komt, zijn in feite de levensverzekering van de demonstranten. Het regime moet zich inhouden want de publieke opinie is er bij betrokken. Als er niemand een emmertje onder zet om die druppels op te vangen en aan de wereld te tonen, dan voelt het regime zich niet gecontroleeerd en kan het zijn gang gaan.
Sociale controle op globale schaal.
