. Het kan een B-kant zijn, nadat ze "What If You Were Right First Time" al ten gehore hadden gebracht in de Melkweg, vóórdat-ie op single verscheen. Zou kunnen dat ze de titel veranderd hebben, heeft iemand de lyrics uitgeschreven 
?Ik denk persoonlijk dat ze "Terror Pocket" en "Sandtrap" allang hebben afgeschreven en het als oud werk beschouwen. Ben benieuwd of ze die tracks überhaupt hebben opgenomen, behalve dan in die demo-sessie in januari 2008. Je zou zeggen dat ze dat anders wel in het NME-artikel hadden vermeldt zouden hebben. We zullen zien!

Thanks for noticing. Foutje met overtypen van de tracklist in het NME-artikel. Heb ik nog overheen gelezen toen ik de NME-tracklist checkte met de officiële tracklist.

We were granted a sneak preview of the band’s third album, produced alongside Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme and James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco, this morning, and can now impart the very slightest insight into its sound.
Frontman Alex Turner, fresh from his expansive forays in The Last Shadow Puppets, has retained that laconic croon, while his bandmates extol the same Scott Walker influences in the music, injecting the Arctics with a new sound that sends them onto wild soundscaping adventures. The confidence of the musicianship on show is stunning - they have completely defied any expectations or presumptions to explore the depths they can reach when stepping foot outside their accepted styles. Lyrically, Turner is his usual eloquent self, but has definitely graduated into an incomparable writer whose themes twist and turn through stories and allegories so potent and profound it actually leaves one breathless. Sloping organ patterns create a carnival-esque atmosphere across the album, but it’s a spooky and ethereal trip, a lysergic cavalcade that haunts every track.

Heeft iemand dat artikel wat vandaag in de NME staat op de pc staan en kan die hem uploaden? (met een knipoog naar Aisumasen). Ik kan het artikel zelf niet vinden dus ik neem aan dat je die alleen kan krijgen als je lid bent van de site of iets in die trant. En ik ben te arm om dat blad gewoon te kopen.
Als ik het goed heb komt het nieuwe album over 11 weken uit. Aangezien de singles meestal een week daarvoor worden uitgebracht zou deze dus over 10 weken uitkomen. Als ik nu een hoge pief was bij Domino zou ik nu Crying Lightning uitbrengen als een free download. Iedereen kent dat nummer nu toch al en kan hem zo beluisteren in goede kwaliteit op Youtube. Dan wordt de nieuwe single over een week of 5 voor het eerst ten gehore gebracht en wordt deze 5 weken later gereleased.
Dit zou toch hele goede promotie zijn voor het nieuwe album en we hebben tijdens de festivaltour dan in ieder geval al 2 nieuwe nummers die we kennen.

Een festival-optreden is altijd in de trant van "give the people what they want". Dus ik verwacht niet meer dan twee of drie nieuwe nummers op Lowlands. Mochten ze anderhalf uur spelen, wat ik als waarschijnlijke dagafsluiter wel verwacht, misschien vier. De eerste single komt zonder twijfel begin augustus uit. Ik heb I Bet You Look Good.... aangemaakt voor Guitar Hero III PC versie. Als er iemand is die hem wilt proberen, laat het dan even weten. Bij mij doet het spel zelf het niet, dus heb de song niet kunnen uitproberen.

Arctic Monkeys make an appearance in director Shane Meadows' new movie 'Le Donk', which is set to premiered later this month.
The movie, which premieres at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 23, is about a roadie named Donk (played by Paddy Considine) who attempts to make Nottingham rapper Scorz-Ayz-Ee (who plays himself) a star.
Along the way the duo get a helping hand from Arctic Monkeys, as well as 50,000 of their fans at the band's 2007 Lancashire County Cricket Club (Old Trafford) gigs, during which some of the movie was filmed.

Writing on his official forum at Shanemeadows.proboards.com shortly before filming took place, Meadows revealed that he had originally been approached by the Arctic Monkeys about working together.
"A couple of months back I was asked to get involved with shooting a film with the Arctic Monkeys at their Old Trafford concert (happening over the last weekend of July)," he wrote.
He added: "I didn't really see myself making a concert film on a par with 'Woodstock', so declined, but after talking to Paddy [Considine] about how gutted I was that we have never made anything with the character of 'Donk' the penny dropped and I realised that we had a golden platform for 'Le Donk' staring us in the face."
The comedy was shot for £30,000 and is largely improvised, according to Empireonline.com. It will be released on DVD this September.
Meadows has previously directed films including 'This Is England' and 'A Room for Romeo Brass'.
Considine previously starred in Arctic Monkeys' video for their single 'Leave Before The Lights Come On'.

Clash spent some quality face time with exactly 50 per cent of Arctic Monkeys* this week, shortly after we had the chance to listen to the Sheffield band's new album. Our full feature will run in the near future - the as-yet-untitled third LP isn't released 'til August 24, via Domino - but here's just a taste of our time together...
The biggest difference with this album is the ethereal and psychedelic sounds. Where did the psychedelic influences come from?
Alex Turner: Hendrix is a big thing - we listened to him loads during this. We got into Hendrix as you do: when you first pick up a guitar; you’re like: "Wow, look what he can do with this thing that’s hurting me fingers". But we got back into that, and perhaps appreciated it more and got more into the records than we had before. ‘Electric Ladyland’ and ‘Axis: Bold As Love’ and that. And we were listening to Cream a little bit - there’s some good harmonies and stuff on there, it’s cool. And the drumming on there, obviously...
That’s funny, as they are two bands where every member is playing their instrument as a lead, all competing for space.
Alex Turner: Yeah. I love Ginger Baker’s drumming. That’s summat we were chatting about. It’s laidback... I dunno what it is. And then Josh [Homme] turned us onto a load of things, and that guy Dave whose studio it was - like Roky Erickson and this band called Captain Beyond.
This album might split opinions with fans, as it’s a bold step for Arctic Monkeys. Are you putting this out as a statement of the direction you’re going in?
Matt Helders: Not necessarily. It’s just what happened this time. Next time probably will be different again, so it’s not necessarily that we’re going that way now, it’s just how this one turned out.
