The Rams aren't going anywhere in the short term. A lease agreement requires the team to remain in the Edward Jones Dome through 2014.
But in the long run, the dome might be more of the problem than the solution. The deal that lured the Rams required the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission to keep the dome among the top quarter of all NFL stadiums, based on evaluations at 10-year intervals. If it is deemed to fall short prior to the 2015 season, the franchise can relocate.

quote:Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher has said all offseason that Kerry Collins is the Titans' starting quarterback. And if that's the case when the 2009 season starts, Vince Young wants to play elsewhere.
Young, who lost the starting job to Collins last season, told WMAR-TV in Baltimore on Monday that he wants it back next season.
"If them guys don't want me to be in there, it's time for me to make a career change," Young said. "... If they're not ready for me to play ball, then somebody is."
The Titans had no comment on Young's comments, which seem to be a change in tone from what he said last month. Then, Young told reporters that he had met with Fisher to share his thoughts and let the coach know he was maturing.

Vince Young's agent says the quarterback doesn't want the Tennessee Titans to trade him, downplaying comments that his client made to a Baltimore television station.
Major Adams said Tuesday night that Young intends to remain in Tennessee and battle Kerry Collins for the No. 1 quarterback position. Adams' reaction was first reported in The City Paper in Nashville.
"Vince's desire has always been to compete for the starting quarterback job in Tennessee," Adams said. "Even before they drafted him, they asked him if he thought he could compete for the starting role, and he said yes. He has always been a starter, and that is his mind-set."
In an interview with 104.5 The Zone in Nashville on Wednesday, Titans coach Jeff Fisher said he wasn't surprised to hear that Young wants to be the starter. In fact, Fisher expects that to eventually happen.
"I would expect everyone on our football team to want to start," Fisher said. "I think he (Young) may have been lead on a little bit in the interview, but I didn't pay attention to it. He knows there is no potential for us to [trade] him.
"Kerry is our starter, but Vince is eventually going to be our starting quarterback and the quarterback we drafted him to be, period."
Young's comments to WMAR-TV on Saturday indicated a willingness to leave the Titans if he couldn't be the starter over Collins next season.
"Definitely I want to be in there playing ball and picking up where I left off, winning games and having a good time with my teammates and fans," Young told the station. "But at the same time, if them guys don't want me in there, it's time for me to make a career change for myself.
-- Here's a potential first to add to a homeowner's list of "not in my backyard" complaints: Terrell Owens.
The high-profile Bills wide receiver's search for a place to live in the Buffalo area has hit a snag after Owens said he was denied a chance to rent a home in Orchard Park because of the potential "drama" he might bring to the neighborhood.
Owens first announced what happened late Tuesday night by posting a message on his Twitter.com site. The message read that he's "tripping about residents" who won't rent a home to him because they "(don't) want any drama (in) their neighborhood!! LOL!!! Wow!!."
Owens then went into further detail about his search -- describing the snub as no big deal -- following a voluntary minicamp practice Wednesday.
"They didn't want me to rent this spot because of the extra or added attention that I may bring," said Owens, who was informed of the news after a real-estate agent and his bodyguard viewed the property. Referring to his real-estate agent, Owens added, "In her words, she said, 'Drama.' I thought it was funny."
Perhaps, Owens added, the owners aren't Bills or T.O. fans.
The place in question is a six-bedroom home, located at 1 Deer Run in Orchard Park, that lists for $489,397. It's also available for rent and close to Ralph Wilson Stadium.

hopen dan maar dat volgende week bekend wordt dat Favre nooit meer terugkomt als speler....quote:Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress has imposed a deadline of this week for Brett Favre to decide whether he will be the team's quarterback for the upcoming season, according to two sources.
Helaasquote:Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress called into a Minneapolis radio station Wednesday morning to shoot down a report that the team has given quarterback Brett Favre a deadline to decide whether or not to come out of retirement.
"Absolutely not," Childress told KFAN while driving to the Vikings' headquarters at Winter Park. "Maybe by Deanna (Favre's wife) or somebody like that, but certainly not from me. Not even -- not even close. Don't know where that would have dropped out of the sky from."
Asked if the report was fabricated, Childress said: "I don't know how you guys in that industry go about your sourcing. 'A source that a source said.' I don't know. It's questionable. Very questionable."
quote:Three seasons after starting the Super Bowl for the Chicago Bears, Rex Grossman looks as if he will compete for the No. 2 quarterback job in Houston.
Grossman is taking a physical with the Texans on Thursday afternoon, and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said he expects to finalize a one-year deal tonight. Rosenhaus first reported the development on his Twitter page and later confirmed the progress in a text message.
Grossman wasn’t re-signed by the Bears after a 2008 season in which Kyle Orton replaced him as the starter. Grossman, a six-year NFL veteran with 33 touchdown passes and 35 interceptions in his career, would compete with former Detroit Lions QB Dan Orlovsky to serve as Matt Schaub’s backup with the Texans.
