Ik ben er ook mee begonnen. Inmiddels bij aflevering 5 dus nog maar 2 te gaan.
Vind het een leuke serie. Spannend, goed geacteerd en de camera-positie is ook weer eens wat anders

Southland has been canceled with production being shut down after six episodes according to the Hollywood Reporter. NBC will continue to air Dateline on Fridays at 9pm.
I was a bit surprised by the quick renewal by NBC of the Warner Brothers produced show in May, and I am a bit surprised that it has been canceled before the second season premiere. After screening the early episodes NBC found them “too dark and gritty” for broadcast, particularly at 9pm.
No word on when/if the six episodes that were already filmed will air.
Friday is a night some believe has less competition for The Jay Leno Show, but Friday night is a night of less viewers on broadcast too. Last Friday, The Jay Leno Show only had a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating out of Dateline’s 1.8 rating. Though I do not blame Jay Leno for global warming and everything else wrong in the world, it is certainly conceivable that NBC was worried Southland would provide noticeably less of an 18-49 lead-in than Dateline.

Hopen dat ze dan gewoon naar Cable TV gaan en daar gaan uitzenden, zou anders wel triest zijn, aangezien het toch wel een OK serie was

Southland may find a second life on TNT, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The cable network is talking with Warner Bros. TV to pick up the gritty cop drama, which was abruptly axed by NBC Thursday, two weeks before its scheduled Season 2 premiere. TNT and Warner Bros. are both under the corporate umbrella Time Warner Inc.
"We continually look at all programming opportunities that fit our portfolio of brands," TNT said in a statement.
A rep for the network did not have any further details.
TNT is no stranger to police dramas as it is home to The Closer, Saving Grace and Dark Blue

Southland is back! Yay, more Ben McKenzie!
After rumors of the show’s revival, it’s official: TNT has picked up Southland and will air episodes beginning January 12 on Tuesdays @ 10 PM ET/PT.
“We’re delighted that TNT has stepped forward to pick up Southland,” executive producer John Wells said. “We are all extremely proud of the show.”
The network has exclusive rights to air the first season’s seven episodes as well as six episodes shot for the second season.
The cop drama, which originally premiered on NBC last season to good ratings, was renewed for a second season and subsequently dropped by the network.

Begin maart kunnen we dus de eerste nieuwe afleveringen van seizoen 2 verwachten.
Ik ga er dan wel even vanuit dat ze wekelijks vanaf 12 jan. standaard een aflevering uitzenden.
NBC vond de serie te donker en ging er vanuit dit de kijkcijfers van Jay Leno negatief zou beïnvloeden, nu heeft TNT alle afleveringen overgenomen en precies tegenover de show van Jay Leno gezet.
De vraag blijft alleen nu of TNT na het uitzenden van alle 13 afleveringen nog van plan is om een derde seizoen te bestellen, mits de kijkcijfers hun bevallen.

Inmiddels is het alweer begonnen in de VS. 13 januari met aflevering 1 weer. Geen idee wanneer dus de nieuwe komen (aflevering 7 of seizoen 2?). Maar ik ben blij dat t terug is, vind t een erg goede serie tot zo ver

Leuk om wat bekende gezichten te zien.
Verder was het een redelijke aflevering.
De kijkcijfers waren trouwens niet geweldig.
2,5 miljoen kijkers en een rating van 1.0
TNT schijnt de serie aardig gepromoot te hebben, dus denderend zijn de cijfers niet te noemen,
Als dit zo door gaat dan is een derde seizoen al snel van de baan.
Verder was het een redelijke aflevering.
