The last chapter in Jade Goody's life is coming to a quick end.
The dying British reality TV star, whose cervical cancer has spread to other parts of her body - including the brain, was visited by a priest on Sunday and is in a coma-like state, her publicist is saying.
Keeping the public informed on her health, like a morbid reality show, her rep says, "She is unconscious a lot of the time, almost in a coma-like state. She's heavily sedated, so she comes round for maybe a few minutes, sometimes just a few seconds and she goes again. She seems to be aware that [new husband[ Jack and [her mother] Jackiey are here."
Her rep says Goody's condition is "critical" and "It's just a matter of when."
Truly heartbreaking!
Goody has been unable to see her two young children since Wednesday, due to her weakened state.
"She was hoping to be well enough to see the boys but at the moment she is in a very bad state, she is very unwell," says her publicist.
Goody left London's Royal Marsden Hospital on Wednesday. Nurses onat her home have been able to control her crippling pain, but the painkillers appear to take their own toll. "The more sedated she is, the weaker she gets," adds the rep.

JADE Goody’s young sons took flowers to her bedside yesterday in what could be one of their final visits to their beloved Mummy.
The angelic pair sat gently clasping the dying star’s hands after little Freddie had picked her a delicate daffodil.
But frail Jade — heavily sedated and exhausted as she nears the end of her grim battle with terminal cancer — then fell asleep with the lads still clinging sadly on.
A source said: “It was a real tear-jerking moment to see the three of them together at such a sad time.”
Earlier four-year-old Freddie, shirtless and with his painted face swathed in a giant grin, had plucked the daffodil for his reality TV star mum, whose condition had deteriorated over the weekend.
He played happily in the garden with brother Bobby, five, Jade’s new hubby Jack Tweed and the boys’ gran Jackiey Budden.
The kids and Jack all had their faces daubed with paint. Freddie had coloured Jack’s entirely black.
The family had been hoping for friends and loved ones to visit their home in Upshire, Essex, for an early Mother’s Day celebration.
But Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford said she was not well enough and spent much of the day asleep.
Instead, the boys were taken to her side after Macmillan nurses caring for the Big Brother favourite said she had only hours to live.
Mr Clifford said: “The boys went to see her and she was aware of them for a brief moment or two. She saw them and she smiled.
“She has put her house in order and faced up to everything in an incredibly brave way. Now we’re waiting for the inevitable. It could be at any time, we just don’t know.”

Jade, 27 — diagnosed with cervical cancer last summer — discharged herself from hospital last week so she could die at home.
She told the boys then: “Mummy’s going to heaven soon. I’m going to be a star up in the sky, so when you are looking up you will be able to see me and know I’m there, always looking over you.
“Mummy’s going to be up there looking over you. Close your eyes and you can talk to me.”
And yesterday when bewildered Freddie asked at her bedside: “Why are you so sleepy?” she gave the heartbreaking reply: “Because the angels are calling Mummy.”
A priest also visited Jade yesterday to say prayers and blessings. Father Francis, of West London’s Ealing Abbey, was chosen by the star because he had beaten cancer.
Jade is now so weak from her cancer that she can barely smile.
But she still insisted on seeing her precious sons as she slipped in and out of consciousness.
A nurse has told Jack, 21, and 50-year-old Jackiey that the next time Jade falls into a deep sleep she will probably not wake up.
A very close family friend said: “It’s over. Jade barely has the strength to talk. She will occasionally weep, but is too frail now to even squeeze her mum’s hand.
“The nurses talk to her quietly and do what they can to control the pain. They told Jack that the next time she falls into a deep sleep she probably won’t wake up.
“Her disease has been so cruel to her — and everyone who loves her. We just want her suffering to stop.”
Jade’s condition worsened on Friday when nurses feared she had stopped breathing. Jack, whose parole curfew has been relaxed so he can visit his wife outside of his strict 7am to 7pm regime, was called at 11.30pm and rushed to her side.
Meanwhile Jackiey yesterday requested a Sun picture of her daughter, which she plans to hang in Bobby’s new bedroom.
It was snapped just weeks ago and shows Jade looking healthy and happy as she strolled down her drive wearing a huge smile.
Jackiey said: “Bobby wants a big boy’s room now so I’m decorating that. I want that picture on the main wall. It’s beautiful.
“That’s the way he should remember his mum.”
Jackiey added: “It’s not day by day now. It’s more like hour by hour. I’m stronger than Jack at the moment. Together, we’ve built a strong community to cope with it.”
But amid the heartbreak, defiant Jade astonished medics by blasting a nurse who she heard discussing her health. The star overheard the gloomy conversation as she lay in bed. And she yelled: “I’m not f****** dead yet, so stop that talk.”
Jade also displayed her trademark feistiness by ordering her mum to buy her a LOTTERY ticket and indicating her chosen numbers.
A family friend said last night: “Jade might be at death’s door, but she’s got some proper Bermondsey fight in her yet.
“She must have got angry about all the negative talk as she came out with a really fiery outburst.
“Then she told Jackiey she wanted to play the lottery.”
Jackiey, Jack and personal trainer pal Kevin Adams were all keeping a vigil by Jade’s bedside last night. A source said: “They know the end is near and want to be with her.’’
Thousands of messages of support continue to flood into The Sun.
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is also expected to fly into Britain this week to try to see Jade before she dies. They fell out during Celebrity Big Brother 2007, when Jade was plunged into a race row over her treatment of the Indian beauty.
The picture of Freddie enjoying the first rays of springtime sun is made all the more poignant by the Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Daffodil Appeal this month.
It urges people to wear the flower as a sign of support in beating the disease.

Dit is een opgeklopte media-hype; behalve een batterij fotografen komt er vast niemand opdagen aan de groeve. Ik denk niet dat Engeland al waxinelichtjes en teddyberen heeft ingeslagen, daarvoor is de reputatie van Jade te slecht. Volgens de familie is het nu echt aan het aflopen, maar wanneer ze 'uitstapt' kan niemand zeggen. Dat kan over vijf minuten, vijf dagen of vijf weken zijn.

“I just don’t know how she is. If I knew I would tell you but I just don’t know.”
Jade is insisting that her children Bobby, five, and four-year-old Freddie — both staying with their dad Jeff Brazier — should not be present when she finally slips away.
A family friend said: “Jack and Jackiey are waiting for the end. The boys may come over again if Jade wakes up, but she made it very clear she didn’t want them to see her die.
“Jade has always been strong and will be fighting even in her sleep. But her body has been ravaged and is now succumbing completely.
“But she’s at peace, in no pain and sleeping comfortably. Everyone’s grateful for at least this small mercy.”
Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford said: “She’s been sleeping. I understand that will get deeper.”
A planned visit by Indian actress Shilpa Shetty today was cancelled due to Jade’s rapid deterioration. The Bollywood star — who fell out with Jade after being bullied on celebrity Big Brother — had vowed to see her before she dies.
But the trip was axed after Jade drifted into a deep sleep.
Yesterday Jackiey made a brief appearance outside the family home wearing a yellow dressing gown over pyjamas and black sunglasses.
Looking exhausted and upset, she was comforted by a nurse. Jackiey later left the house before returning on foot. She said: “I’ve been out for a walk to clear my head. It’s been full-on. The nurse is with her now.”
Jackiey also revealed how Jade wept when her sons appeared at her bedside on Sunday. She said: “It was brilliant. The boys were absolutely gorgeous, they had face paint on and Jade had a bit of a cry.”

Incredibly, battling Jade defied the odds last night by viewing the sunset and asking for cans of Coke.
She again sat propped up in her bed and watched the night fall.
A friend said: “The doctors are amazed. Jade managed to see the sunset and was asking for cans of Coke. She’s an incredibly strong woman.”
A 50-strong crowd gathered outside Jade’s home to leave flowers and pay their respects.
A bunch of pink tulips were addressed to Jackiey, accompanied by a note which read: “Thank you for giving us Jade. God must need an angel to make Heaven smile.”
Meanwhile, Jade has revealed that after her cancer diagnosis, Jack tried to write her a card telling her she'd get better and that he was there for her but he was too overcome with emotion.
The Big Brother star told OK: "When I told Jack about the cancer, he broke down.
"It's weird to watch boys cry.
"He tried to write me a card to say I'd get better and that he was there for me but he was so upset.
"It took him a week to write because he couldn't find the words. He didn't need to say anything though. Just to have him there was enough."
She also said it was difficult for mum Jackiey to understand her diagnosis at first because Jade had always been the mother figure.
She told the magazine: "All I wanted was for her (Jackiey) to hold me in her arms and to be like a mum.
"She kept saying I was strong but I wanted her to tell me it was alright to be weak. I've always been the mum figure, so it was hard for her as she never thought she'd see her daughter dying from cancer."

Vooral voor de kinderen van Jade G., die nog aardig wat jaren voor de boeg hebben, maar zij zitten straks opgescheept met al die memorablia, tijdschriftcovers, neppe rotzooi.
Ach op zich is het best een luxe om te kunnen kiezen of je in intieme kring wilt dood gaan of en plein public. Krijg je een auto ongeluk dan heb je die luxe niet. En lijkenpikkers zijn volgens mij net zou oud als het oudste beroep van de wereld.

De doodzieke Britse realityster Jade Goody gaat een dagboek over haar laatste levensdagen publiceren. Dat hebben haar uitgevers gisteren gezegd.
De 27-jarige heeft tijdschriften en tv-zenders toestemming gegeven om haar toestand te verslaan in ruil voor geld dat is bestemd voor haar twee zonen. Daarnaast is het te verschijnen dagboek Forever in My Heart een "liefdesbrief" aan de twee kinderen van vier en vijf jaar.
"Dit emotionele boek vertelt het verhaal van een vrouw die faam verwierf als controversiële tv-ster en nu bewonderd wordt om haar vastberadenheid bij het aanvaarden van haar terminale kanker", aldus uitgever Belinda Budge van HarperNon-Fiction. Een deel van de opbrengst van het boek gaat naar de kankerbestrijding.
Goody, bekend van haar deelname aan verscheidene Big Brother-edities, heeft volgens artsen nog maar kort te leven.
