One fan said: "I saw the guy screaming at Joaquin. Joaquin then flipped and jumped into the crowd." It was not immediately clear whether the two men exchanged any blows.
Security guards then swarmed the scene and dragged Phoenix away. It's unclear whether the confrontation was a set up as his brother-in-law CASEY AFFLECK was in the audience recording the performance on his video camera.
Joaquin — who has battled alcohol addiction in the past — has prompted concerns for his well-being since announcing his retirement from acting in October.
He made a disastrous hip-hop debut in Las Vegas in January where he performed three tracks before falling off stage. He then caused further worry with a shambolic appearance on David Letterman's Late Show.

Onlangs vernamen we al dat Phoenix misschien de schrijver/dichter Edgar Allan Poe zal gaan spelen in een verfilming van Daniel Stashowers boek The Beautiful Cigar Girl. Het is afwachten of dit klopt en of de acteur gewoon weer films gaat maken alsof er nooit iets gebeurd is...

dat hele drama met River Phoenix is volledig aan me voorbij gegaan aangezien ik toen pas 8 jaar oud was.. maar het is een tragisch verhaal.
en River was beduidend knapper dan Joaquin. In vind dat die Joaquin er vaak slecht uitziet (en nu met dat haar al helemaaaal): bleekjes, donkere kringen. Kan dat te maken hebben met zijn veganisme?
