Five-fight UFC veteran Jess Liaudin (12-11 MMA, 2-3 UFC) has been dropped from the UFC's roster of fighters following three consecutive losses in the organization.

The UFC has made no official announcement, though, and as of Tuesday afternoon, the 34-year-old fighter was still listed on UFC.com.

Liaudin, a French-born fighter who trains out of London, debuted with the UFC in April 2007 and posted first-round stoppage victories over Dennis Siver and Anthony Torres to launch his UFC career. However, he went 0-3 in 2008 with losses to Marcus Davis (knockout), Paul Taylor (split decision) and David Bielkheden (unanimous decision).

All five of his UFC fights took place in overseas, European shows.

Liaudin, who fought primarily for Cage Rage prior to joining the UFC, had tested himself against many notables, including Taylor, Paul Daley, Shonie Carter and Abdul Mohamed. His first two victories in the UFC pushed his career-high win streak to five fights.

Ik loop er niet echt warm van maar goed, het zou best een aardige show kunnen worden! Met veel underdogs die gaan winnen trouwens!

Jim Miller vs. Matt Wiman
Fight of the Night ik was nooit zo onder de indruk van Wiman maar in zijn laatste 2 fights zag hij er echt goed uit!! Damn wat een verbetering t.o.v. TUF!! Miller met zijn submissions en wrestling tegenover Wiman met zijn onorthodoxe stand-up.. ik ga voor Miller maar het zou net zo goed Wiman kunnen zijn!!

Corey Hill vs. Dale Hartt
Tja, wat valt hier veel over te zeggen.. beide zijn zo onvoorspelbaar als de pest maar 1 ding is zeker
de winnaar krijgt waarschijnlijk een brute KO highlight reel punch op zijn naam!

Eddie Sanchez vs. Justin McCully
There is no way in hell dat McCully gaat verliezen. Snap dan ook niet dat hij zelfs de underdog is

Tim Credeur vs. Nate Loughran
Loughran "The Master of the Choke" ga ik hem noemen daar kan goeie ouwe Tim niet tegenop!
Denk wel dat het niet helemaal een walk over worden maar de winnaar moge duidelijk zijn!

Johnny Rees vs. Steve Bruno
De Hater Hurter gaat voor zijn 1e overwinning in de UFC. Vorige keer verloor ie met een submission van Loughran hierboven.. kan me eigenlijk nieteens schelen wie wint.. maja goed sub victory voor Rees.

Mike Swick vs. Jonathan Goulet
Swick zal waarschijnlijk aan het langste eind gaan trekken maar ik denk dat het helemaal niet zo
gemakkelijk zal gaan als de bettinglines ons doen geloven. Het zal zwaar bevochten zijn en Goulet heeft best een kansje op een kleine upset

Luigi Fioravanti vs. Brodie Farber
Ik ben niet echt een Fioravanti fan maar ik ken Farber niet goed genoeg om hem meteen over
Luigi te picken. Vorige keer hield hij het nog geen 2minuten vol in de Octagon
Laten we maar zeggen dat Fio het met een 1st round KO wint maar ik ben eigenlijk nieteens
overtuigd of hij het uberhaupt wel weet te winnen!!

Razak al-Hussan vs. Steve Cantwell
Al-Hussan Schmussan.. wat een kut match.. wie zit nou op een Razak te wachten ookal zou hij weten te winnen? Laat Cantwell de victory maar pakken d.m.v. een mooie KO ofzo

Josh Koscheck vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida
Zenko is geen joke, ik vond het geweldig hoe hij War Machine wist te vernederen maja ik mag Koscheck om een of andere reden wel.. hij heeft toch veel laten zien in de afgelopen jaren en dat ie helaas niet van Alves wist te winnen kan ik hem niet kwalijk nemen! 3th round submission voor Koscheck omdat Yoshida gefrustreerd is en zijn rug geeft.

Huerta stays with UFC

After a very public battle between fighter and promoter, talented lightweight Roger Huerta (20-2-1) has signed a new five-fight contract with the UFC according to MMAWeekly.com.

This of course comes on the heels of Huerta’s bombshell in Fight! magazine last August when he revealed that he wasn’t pleased with his contractual arrangement with the UFC. In addition, he was seemingly ticked that the promotion twisted his UFC 87 pre-fight interviews to insinuate that his fight with Kenny Florian would be a “cake walk” (Huerta was actually comparing the fight to his rough and tumble upbringing).

Huerta lost to Florian via unanimous decision and afterward tried to provide some context to the controversial remarks he made just before the fight. His statements clearly agitated UFC President Dana White who referred to Huerta — once considered the Latino golden boy who could do no wrong — as a “moron.”

Prior to his new contract, “El Matador” had one fight remaining with the UFC and there was speculation that he and the promotion were “far apart” on reaching an agreement. Some of Huerta’s demands included a guaranteed six-figures per fight as well as points on the PPV - a better deal than current lightweight champion BJ Penn enjoys.

Sounds pretty outrageous but I guess like Jon Fitch and Randy Couture before that, all’s forgiven once pen touches paper.

It’s also interesting to note that Huerta is confirmed as being on the roster for the upcoming release of the ‘UFC Undisputed 2009′ video game set to hit shelves this Spring.

tja.. ik denk dat ik vééél te veel MMA heb gezien om nog een heldere keuze te kunnen maken.. er zijn zoveel geweldige gevechten geweest dit jaar..

Foty kan best eens naar Huerta of Torres gaan, maar nogmaals ik heb veeel te veel gezien dit jaar om nog alles vers in het geheugen te hebben

Ja das zeker een kandidaat maar kun je honestly zeggen dat je zéker weet dat je dit jaar geen mooiere hebt gezien.. ik zou het allemaal niet meer weten.. maar die op Werdum was prachtig idd!!
