GM shares closed down $2.15, or 31.1 percent, to close Thursday at $4.76 after falling as low as $4.65, marking the automaker's lowest trade since March 15, 1950, according to the Center for Research in Security Prices at the University of Chicago.

The company's shares fell another 21 cents, or 4.4 percent, to $4.55 in premarket trading Thursday.

Thursday's drop came as Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said the Detroit-based automaker's credit could fall deeper into junk status, making it even tougher to borrow money.

"Clearly we face unprecedented challenges related to uncertainty in the financial markets globally and weakening economic fundamentals in many key markets," GM said in a statement.

"But bankruptcy protection is not an option GM is considering. Bankruptcy would not be in the interests of our employees, stockholders, suppliers or customers, and we believe speculation about a possible filing is exaggerated and unconstructive," the company said.

is spread betting maar loopt mee met de future de hele dag (is de fair value)
je moet wel naar de stand kijken en niet per se naar de +/- erachter
ook handig voor FTSE, euro/dollar, etc
