Dat helpt de minder bekende film ontzettend.! Iemand die de onbekende film ook heeft gezien zal doorgaans ook een andere voorkeur hebben. Je gaat niet zo maar even naar een onbekende film kijken zonder goed te bekijken waar de film over gaat of een zekere affiniteit voor het genre film.
Sorry maar als een film waar ik een dusdanige waardering voor heb in het rijtje staat zal ik daar de voorkeur voor geven boven een film die ik niet gezien heb.

Het punt is echter niet of de ene film beter is dan de ander want dat is niet objectief te meten, het punt is dat de groep die beslist en beide films kent totaal kan verschillen van de gangbare kijker, zeker in het geval van een paring van een bekende en minder bekende film. Er is vaak een goede reden waarom sommige films niet naar boven drijven omdat ze door een kleinere groep gewaardeerd worden.
Geloof mij maar dat er genoeg zijn die stemmen op paren die ze niet kennen want anders zou ik de volgende keer Bhabhi Dian Choorian tippen om welke gerenomeerde film in de hele decennia te verslaan. Nee, niemand die dan gaat kijken naar het genre: musical, de taal en het imdb cijfer om toch het voordeel te geven aan een Blade Runner, The Shining of Star Wars. Je gelooft toch niet dat wanneer ik de enige ben die Bhabhi Dian Choorian heb gezien dat het elke ronde met 1-0 behoort te winnen?
Nu zal dat grotendeels overwonnen zijn doordat een hoop films vrij bekend zijn maar de enige manier waarop dit soort tournamenten enigzins werken is omdat men geregeld vooronderstellingen maakt bij sommige films. Zelfs bij het vergelijken van twee films die je wel gezien heb kan de situatie van het bekijken van invloed zijn (bioscoop, thuis, bij vrienden, dit jaar of 10 jaar geleden, welke bui je bent ect.). Maar goed je kan mijn opvattingen hierover niet delen noch mijn argumenten inzien dus wat maakt het uit.
Ik zag het ondersteuningsprincipe over het hoofd en dat doet inderdaad een hoop goed zeker in dit soort gelimiteerde tournaments (specifiek jaar) maar je zal maar net twee fok-leden hebben die lid zijn van de Bhabhi Dian Choorian-club.quote:Op dinsdag 18 november 2008 05:16 schreef Gillingham het volgende:

Ach waar heb ik het ook over, dit soort tournaments is gewoon voor een beetje vermaak. Ik moet het niet zo serieus nemen natuurlijk.
