Flageygebouw in Brussel 
Het Flageygebouw is het voormalig omroepcentrum van het NIR aan het Heilig-Kruisplein in de gemeente Elsene in het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest.
Het werd ontworpen door Joseph Diongre in 1933, de bouw duurde van 1935 tot 1938. Het gebouw werd in 1994 gedeeltelijk geklasseerd als beschermd monument.
Het Flageygebouw was bij zijn bouw een van de eerste radio-omroepgebouwen in Europa en incorporeerde vernieuwende akoestische technieken voor de studio's. Deze studio's waren, en zijn nog steeds, een gewilde plek om concerten te geven.
Nadat het NIR het gebouw verliet in 1974 werd het gebruikt om diverse socio-culturele vereningingen te huisvesten. In 1998 werd door de "NV Omroepgebouw Flagey" begonnen met restauratie en moderniseringswerken, waarna het sinds 2002 opnieuw gebruikt wordt voor socio-culturele manifestaties.
Sinds een paar jaar huisvest het gebouw alle Brusselse Nederlandstalige media (de stadsradio FM Brussel, de stadskrant Brussel Deze Week, de lokale zender TV Brussel en de website brusselnieuws.be).

Plenty of local natural building materials have been used in the building: the floors are made from Perttaus granite – the hardest type available in Finland – and from lime-washed Lappish pine. The chairs are made from birch and reindeer hide.
The visible part of the museum, the glass tube, is 172 metres long in all and it is dissected by the 30-metre wide highway to Kittilä. It is covered with around one thousand panes of toughened glass, each two square metres in size. The tube serves as the “Gateway to the North”, as the entrance foyer is at the southern end and the other end faces north. The exhibition space is sheltered below the ground, mimicking the way nature in the North takes cover from the harsh, cold winter.

Walk on past Naylors and Corbett's Wharf. As you come past National Terrace (a late twentieth century development on your left) you come to an open space. To the left of the space you will find a sculpture by Diane Gorvin 'Dr Salter's Dream'. Alfred Salter looks at his daughter (who died age nine). Their cat looks on. (This piece was originally on the promenade by Cherry Gardens - but local residents complained that the sculpture had become a gathering place for young people - so it was moved!)
