Andrews was arrested after allegedly returning home and having an argument with his girlfriend at about 1 a.m. Monday, Miliote said.
In two seasons since the Patriots drafted him in the seventh round out of Baylor, Andrews returned four kickoffs for 149 yards, including a 77-yard touchdown last season, and had 24 tackles, all but one on special teams.

Toch heb ik het gevoel dat het allemaal wat ingewikkelder ligt.Ik heb alles tot nu toe gevolgd en als je goed luistert naar de uitspraken van vooral de GM,Ted Thompson,dan zitten ze niet op Favre te wachten.Volgens Favre's agent(al moet je zijn verhaal natuurlijk ook met 'n korreltje zout nemen)had Favre nooit het gevoel dat ze hem dit jaar als starting QB wilden.Noch McCarthy,noch Thompson hebben geprobeerd om met Favre te praten over zijn retirement.Dat is op z'n zachtst gezegd toch vreemd.Dat vonden zelfs zijn eigen teammates.Dit alles maakte zijn beslissing om te retiren makkelijker.Thompson en Favre zijn nooit beste vrienden geweest.quote:Op donderdag 3 juli 2008 12:13 schreef Terreros85 het volgende:

Maar wat vreemd is is dat de Packers(Ted Thompson)het niet aandurft om Favre te releasen of te traden.Ze willen niet het risico lopen dat hij naar een ander team gaat.Vreemd,want dit zou dus betekenen dat ze dus wčl weten dat hij nog wil spelen.maar ze willen niet dat hij voor de Packers speelt maar ook niet voor een ander team.Die situatie kan natuurlijk nooit goed gaan.Het is geen publiek geheim dat al diverse teams geīnformeerd hebben bij Favre's agent of hij geīnteresseerd is om voor hun te spelen.Mocht het zover komen dat Favre een breuk forceert en wel naar een ander team gaat dan zou Ted Thompson wel eens een heleboel fans tegen zich kunnen krijgen.En dat risico wil Thompson ook niet lopen.Ik ben dus benieuwd hoe ze dit gaan aanpakken.
Beide partijen hebben op dit moment hun eigen versie van het verhaal dus dan zal zoals altijd de waarheid wel ergens in het midden liggen.

Plummer heeft volgens mij nog steeds niks ingevuld qua retirement, daar om kunnen de Bucs volgens mij hun Bonus terugclaimen en kunnen ze hem een boete geven voor elke dag dat hij er niet is.

See all those fans in that picture? They are dirty, filthy people who are running afoul of Arrowhead Stadium law and should be ejected and beaten with a railroad spike.
The Kansas City Chiefs have a "Fan Code of Conduct," which is essentially a list of rules that fans have to follow when they're attending a game at Arrowhead. In theory, it's not a bad idea, as you'd like your stadium to provide a friendly atmosphere for families and people who aren't drunken hooligans.
In practice, though, it might not be such a great idea, especially if the person responsible for coming up with the rules is an 85-year-old woman who teaches the 2nd grade and regards standing up as one of the evil things that young whippersnappers often do. Seriously, standing erect is the No. 2 item on the list of things that are prohibited:
• Standing and/or obstructing the view of other fans
Not only that, Pro Football Talk points out how seated fans can anonymously tattle on their upright counterparts:
The Chiefs also have set up a text-messaging system that allows fans who might be offended by behaviors like standing to report the situation to the powers-that-be.
Awesome. I hear they're even taking the extra step and including bed pans with every seat, so no one has to get up to use the bathroom. They're going to make the beer and peanut vendors crawl through the stadium on all fours. Also, as soon as you get to your seat and sit down, an usher's going to come by and inject you with a temporary paralytic.
Maybe I'm overreacting. The anti-standing policy might only be temporary. Maybe they'll lift the ban when the Chiefs can field an offense that might actually score a touchdown every now and then and might give fans a reason to stand. Maybe this is only the policy until Brodie Croyle improved or is replaced.
Still, it seems like an asinine, joyless, and dangerous policy. If standing is banned, we can't be far away from banning yelling, too, can we? I'm all for a friendly fan experience, but I'd also rather not turn Arrowhead into the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

He was subsequently suspended indefinitely without pay and lost all his major sponsors, including Nike. He also faces state charges related to dogfighting.
The debt includes part of a signing bonus that the Falcons are seeking to recover.
After the plea on dogfighting charges, the Falcons tried to recover about $20 million in bonuses Vick earned from 2004 to 2007. But a federal judge held that Vick is entitled to keep all but $3.75 million of the money paid to him for playing football through the 2014 season.
According to the filings, Vick's other debts include $4.5 million owed to Richmond-based Joel Enterprises Inc., and $550,0000 owed to Radtke Sports Inc. for breach of contract.
In May, a federal judge ordered Vick to repay about $2.5 million to a Canadian bank for defaulting on a loan. The Royal Bank of Canada had sued Vick in September, arguing his guilty plea to a federal dogfighting charge -- and the resulting impact on his career -- prevented him from repaying the loan.
A default judgment for $1.08 million also was entered in January against Vick and a business partner in a lawsuit brought by Wachovia Bank over a loan for an Atlanta-area wine shop and restaurant.

You know...Wayne’s son? They would need a famous son to pass to as well. But of course. Will Smith’s son Trey is a Wide Receiver on the squad.
And so while the 2006 season featuring Jimmy Clausen might have been Oaks Christian’s most celebrated season ever, the 2008 shall become the most celeb-rified. While the play on the field might be good, here’s guessing the attention will be focused on the stands. There might be as many fans as paparazzi.

Was toch al de vraag of Matt Jones de roster ging halen. Hoopte nog dat ze een goeie pick konden krijgen door hem te traden, maar dat zit er nu niet meer in. Toch zonde, want hij had het talent, lengte en snelheid om een top-receiver te worden.

According to Mortensen, the letter was sent via overnight mail on Thursday and arrived at the Packers’ facility this morning. Favre is currently on the team’s reserve-retired list, but under league rule, if Favre requests to be taken off that list, the Packers are required to either put him on their active roster or release him. So far, Favre has not made that request.
Mortensen also reports that Favre and agent Bus Cook had a conference call on Tuesday with Packers General Manager Ted Thompson and coach Mike McCarthy, and Favre told the men he wants to play in the NFL again.
Favre is reportedly in good shape and is regularly throwing and running with a high school team in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
