Slachtoffers berichten over brutaal kindermisbruik op Jersey

Na de ontdekking van een in ontbinding verkerend kinderlijkje in een voormalig weeshuis op het Britse Kanaaleiland Jersey melden zich steeds meer getuigen over het meedogenloos seksueel misbruik van meisjes en jongens in de instelling. Ondertussen wordt de zoektocht naar nog meer slachtoffertjes in de kelder van het voormalige weeshuis woensdag door instortingsgevaar vertraagd.
In het weeshuis "Haut de la Garenne" in St. Martin werden oudere kinderen door werknemers aangespoord jongeren vast te grijpen en te verkrachten, zei de nu 59-jarige Peter Hannaford. Hijzelf was als weeskind op twaalfjarige leeftijd "bijna elke nacht" slachtoffer geworden van dergelijke gewelddaden.

Andere ooggetuigen berichtten hoe werknemers van het weeshuis zich op feestjes bedronken en gericht de "zwakste kinderen" voor seksueel misbruik uitzochten. "Verkrachtingen van meisjes en ook jongens in alle leeftijdscategorieën was dagelijkse kost", verklaarde een 49-jarige vroegere bewoonster van de instelling.

In totaal hebben zich inmiddels 150 vermoedelijke slachtoffers en ooggetuigen van verkrachtingen gemeld, die tot het begin van de jaren zestig teruggaan, luidde het bij de politie. Er wordt rekening gehouden met de ontdekking van bijkomende kinderlijkjes nadat speciaal afgerichte speurhonden begonnen te blaffen. Vooraleer in het gebouw, dat nu een jeugdherberg is, bij de verdere zoektocht fundamenten uitgegraven worden en metselwerk wordt weggehaald, moet een en ander gestabiliseerd worden.

The entire audience was nodding their heads and agreeing about how this was a terrible problem. Something, however, bothered me about that number. Then I remembered - I had done a report in school about casualties during the Vietnam war. We had about 50,000 casualties during the time period I looked at for the report.

Everyone I knew had some family member who was killed or injured in Vietnam. NOBODY known to me had a family member who was a "missing child." Something was wrong here. If 50,000 children a year went missing, there wouldn't have been anyone in that audience; they would have all been out looking for their children.

I actually did some investigating. The stats they were quoting resulted from adding up every possible definition of "missing child." They included children who were being cared for by the (legally) non-custodial parent. They included every runaway reported, even if the runaway child returned 10 minutes after the police were called. They included throwaways. They included every damn thing they could possibly count, including certain "projections" for any numbers they thought unreported. In other words, they weren't even terribly circumspect about the fact they were exaggerating like crazy.

Then I did some research on what we think of when we think of "missing child" - a little kid, snatched by a stranger for nefarious purposes. There wasn't a lot of data. The only organization that had done much research was the Illinois state police. They concluded that by-stranger abductions of pre-high school kids happened at a rate of, roughly, 50 to 150 times a year in the U.S. Those numbers had been stable for some time and, afaik, remain so today.

Yes, some kids to get snatched, raped, and murdered. But there are so few that it's impossible to protect against it since the circumstances are so statistically anomalous that they can't be predicted.

We would actually raise healthier, happier, more social and caring children if we'd teach them to strike up conversations with and be trusting of strangers at every opportunity. Strangers are so statistically unlikely to be a threat that they can be entirely discounted as such. Those 100 or so kids are going to cross paths with a truly evil person and die every year, anyway; there's no need to instill fear in all the rest to protect against something that can't really be stopped.

You wanna really protect little kids against real sexual abuse instead of wasting resources protecting them against some kid on the playground who steals a kiss or a boogeyman so rare as to be practically nonexistent? There are lots of guys who are a little dodgy but not a real threat; they would never dream of snatching a kid off the street. Put them in the house with a constantly available little girl or boy, however, and temptation starts to rise. If you really want to protect kids, here's what you do: Don't let Mom's new boyfriend move in. Even more generally - don't trust family members just because they're family members; they're the ones who will betray that trust.

That, however, isn't neat and easy like scaring parents because their kids are using the internet. That would actually require morality, hard work, a principled approach to the way people live their lives. That's way too much work. It'll never happen. Better to just go back to scaremongering.

Ever since the Dutroux affair broke in August 1996, there have been rumors that its central character was part of a wider network of child abusers. Some might remember the video tapes that were allegedly found in Dutroux's houses and about which nothing was heard anymore (this actually was an unfounded rumor); others might remember statements from Dutroux about being a "pawn" in a network protected by police and justice officials. However, these reports are not even the tip of the iceberg of what has actually been going on in Belgium.

MEXICO CITY, Dec 27 (IPS) - Journalist and activist Lydia Cacho believes that the influence wielded by a powerful child prostitution and pornography ring is responsible for the death threats she has been receiving for months and her recent arrest on criminal libel charges.

"Who wouldn't be afraid of these people? I'm afraid of them, and I have no doubt that the strings pulled by child pornographers are behind the trial I'm facing," Cacho told IPS from the southeastern Mexican resort city of Cancún, her home base.

On Dec. 16, Cacho was arrested and charged with criminal libel. Earlier this year, she published a book, "Demons of Eden", which contains testimony from minors in Cancún who were sexually abused by adults who also photographed and videotaped them engaging in sexual acts and sold these images over the Internet.

Over recent days, international organisations like Amnesty International, the World Organisation Against Torture, and the Inter-American Press Association, as well as numerous European parliamentarians and Mexican intellectuals and non-governmental groups have issued statements of solidarity and support for Cacho, who is also the co-founder of the Centro Integral de Apoyo a la Mujer (CIAM), a shelter for victims of domestic violence and rape.

Upon her arrest, Cacho was driven to the central Mexican city of Puebla - over 1,500 km from her home in Cancún - and held in custody for 30 hours under "insulting" conditions and deprived of her basic rights, she reported.

She was subsequently released, then taken back into custody and officially charged with criminal libel on Dec. 23, although she has been allowed to remain free on 7,000 dollar bail while awaiting trial.

The accusation of libel was made by Puebla-based textile magnate Kamel Nacif, a close personal friend of the governor of the state of Puebla, Mario Marín.

Nacif himself has declared that he asked Marín to help him "to teach Cacho a good lesson."

Nacif is mentioned by minors and other sources interviewed for Cacho's book as a friend and protector of hotel owner Jean Succar, who fled Mexico in 2003 after being exposed as the head of a child sex ring in Cancún.

Succar was arrested in the United States in February 2004 and is currently awaiting the conclusion of an extradition trial.

"In my book it's the victims who speak, and that's where Nacif's name comes up. At first he denied his relationship with Succar, but now he admits to being his friend," said Cacho.

The activist and journalist, who writes an op/ed column for a Cancún newspaper, reported receiving death threats and asked the government of Vicente Fox for police protection, which was granted earlier this year.

According to the evidence uncovered through investigations and used as grounds for his extradition request, Succar ran a prostitution ring that preyed on girls and boys between the ages of five and 18.

Testimony from witnesses revealed that he sought out his victims among the poor families who live in the shantytowns on the outskirts of Cancún, whom he lured in with promises of food, shelter and education.

Succar engaged in sexual acts with the minors, passed them on to other adults for the same purposes, and also photographed and videotaped these acts in order to sell the images to "clients" in the United States, according to the charges against him.

The accused ringleader has publicly stated that he had "powerful" friends in business and politics.

"It's the power behind the child pornography that had me arrested and is putting me on trial for libel," maintained Cacho.

Some 17,000 minors in Mexico are victims of the sex trade, reveals a study by researcher Elena Azaola, published in 2004. Azaola's research included visits to the establishments where these children and teenagers are forced to engage in prostitution and interviews with some of those who have managed to escape.

In 1995, the Mexican Attorney General's Office broke up a crime ring devoted to publishing and selling child pornography. A year later, a special investigative force was created, which has since uncovered at least one child pornography or prostitution network every year.

Non-governmental organisations estimate that around 100 Mexican children and adolescents are trapped into child prostitution rings every month.

And around the world, roughly one million girls and boys fall victim to these networks every year.

In 2002, the Fox administration carried out a major publicity campaign against the sexual abuse of minors, with support from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

The campaign briefly moved the issue to the top of the national agenda, but with the passage of time, it has gradually slipped out of the spotlight once again.

Cacho insists that the trial she is facing represents "a clear message to those of us who dare to speak out and expose the organised crime that is behind child pornography."

But the activist and journalist is not alone in her struggle. Mexican writer Guadalupe Loaeza, for example, has stated that Cacho has the support of a great many individuals and organisations who will not permit an injustice to be carried out against her and against the thousands of minors in Mexico who are sexually abused.

Cacho, who is being provided with legal defence by the Grijalbo publishing company, which released her book, and the attorneys at the CIAM shelter, is now weighing the possibility of filing a complaint against the Mexican authorities involved in her arrest and upcoming trial before the Inter-American Human Rights Commission, on the grounds that they are acting in a biased manner and have deprived her of her basic rights.

Nacif filed his complaint against Cacho in Puebla, where most of his business interests are based. However, the crimes in which he is implicated took place in Cancún, and the book that accused him of this involvement was published in Mexico City. (END/2005)

Kirkenes is a crossing point between the wealth of Scandinavia and the brutal poverty of Russia's old, rusting, northern naval towns.

And it is through here, say Kirkenes police, that Norwegian paedophiles issue visa invitations to Russian families, headed by women they have formed online or letter friendships with, to come and live with them so that they can abuse the children.

In recent months there has also been an increase in Norwegians with child abuse convictions making frequent trips to Murmansk, a crumbling Russian Arctic port six hours' drive away.

'Convicted paedophiles go to Russia from Norway several times a month without any viable work or social explanation for their trip,' said Ketil Haukaas, Kirkenes police chief.

The 'grooming' of Russian families for abuse exploits the economic gap between Russia and Norway. 'Cases like this are hard to prove,' said Haukaas. Police have secured only one solid conviction, which took five years to secure and was upheld on appeal only last June.

'Russians need a Norwegian citizen to stand financial guarantee to get a visa to Norway,' said Haukaas.

'If they have lived here for three years, they have the right to stay. Norwegian paedophiles have issued invitations to Russian women, and some human rights groups say that these women even tolerate the abuse of their children [to get the visa].'

But now moves are afoot to redraft Norway's residence laws to give Russian immigrants greater security if they decide to report the abuse of their child or themselves.

The border region exemplifies the divide between two societies. Norwegians earn $2,400 a month on average; the equivalent in Murmansk is $137.

Norwegian newspapers brim with adverts in which young Russian women seek 'elder single men' for 'serious relationships', even giving their passport number to speed up the visa.

It was in this desperate climate that a 44-year-old Norwegian man made a seemingly innocent invitation to a Murmansk woman and her six-year-old daughter to live with him. But as the family settled into one of the quaint wooden houses that pepper the town and enjoyed the saunas and supermarkets, Jan Ole Nilsen's more sinister motives became apparent. A routine medical check revealed that his stepdaughter had been repeatedly sexually abused.

But Nilsen wasn't arrested until 1998, as part of an international operation that exposed him as the largest producer of child porn that Norway had ever known. It was this investigation that disclosed the first concrete case of the far more disturbing phenomenon Norwegian police fear has gone undetected for years.

Nilsen had been moving between Russia and Norway, his relationship with a Russian woman who worked at an orphanage in Murmansk granting him easy access to children. The Russian woman, who has never been named because of Norway's privacy laws, introduced Nilsen to girls aged eight and nine. In Norway, he filmed the girls in indecent poses.

But police investigations unearthed abuse incidents in five other towns across northern Norway and Russia. Police believe that Nilsen is part of a paedophile network that has gone undetected.

The conviction was a breakthrough for Norwegian police. But when Nilsen's conviction was finally upheld at appeal, he got just 30 months.

While Russians take the bus drive across the border every day in their dozens to marvel at the streets of Kirkenes, Norwegians travel in the other direction for cheap and plentiful amounts of vodka and young Russian prostitutes around the tourist bars and hotels of Murmansk. It is here that the cycle of exploitation starts.

A hidden world in which Asian men “groom” young white girls for sex has been exposed with the jailing yesterday of two men for child-abuse offences.

Zulfqar Hussain, 46, and Qaiser Naveed, 32, from east Lancashire, were each jailed for five years and eight months after exploiting two girls aged under 16 by plying them with alcohol and drugs before having sex with them.

Both men pleaded guilty at Preston Crown Court to abduction, sexual activity with a child and the supply of a controlled drug.

Despite being told explicitly by police and social services that both girls were under-age and should be returned to care, the men picked up one girl from a children’s home in Blackburn and then drove on to collect her friend who was living in temporary foster care in North Wales.
Naveed, from Burnley, gave one girl the first of five Ecstasy tablets at a motorway service station before having sex with her on the back seat of the car while the group drove back to Lancashire. The court was told that the two men later took the girls to an address in Blackburn where Hussain, from Blackburn, had sex with the second girl and gave her a total of ten Ecstasy tablets.

The trial came amid growing concern at the attitudes of some Asian men towards white girls which campaigners for women claim few people wish to address.

Parents have complained that in parts of the country with large Asian communities white girls as young as 12 are being targeted for sex by older Asian men yet the authorities are unwilling to act because of fears of being labelled racist.

Ann Cryer, a Labour member of the Commons Home Affairs Select Committee, has been at the forefront of attempting to tackle the problem after receiving complaints from mothers in her constituency about young Asian men targeting their under-age daughters.

Although campaigners claim that hundreds of young girls are already being passed around men within the Asian community for sex, she said that attempts to raise the problem with community leaders had met with little success, with most of them being in a state of denial about it.

Rather interestingly, Ann Cryer also says that:

I think there is a problem with the view Asian men generally have about white women. Their view about white women is generally fairly low. They do not seem to understand that there are white girls as moral and as good as Asian girls.

Wow. It's almost as though their society was institutionally racist!

Incidentally, I seem to recall that the BNP have been going on and on about this issue for years, and have been repeatedly accused of "spreading racist myths" by groups such as the confused far-leftists of Unite Against Fascism. Ex-McCain aide accused in Pueblo fondling cases

The former office manager for John McCain's campaign in Pueblo has been arrested twice in the past week for allegedly molesting young boys.

Jeffrey Claude Bartleson, 52, was being held on $300,000 bail in the Pueblo County Jail. He faces at least three counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.

He was arrested Jan. 29, released on $150,000 bail and arrested again Wednesday on two additional warrants. His next court hearing is set for Feb. 23.

"We still have people who are coming forward," said Sgt. Brett Wilson, of the Pueblo Police Department special victims unit.

"When he was arrested last week, the Pueblo Chieftain put out a news article. And since then, we have had more victims come forward."

Wilson said the alleged victims so far have been boys under 16 years old.

The oldest case dates to the 1980s, and the most recent happened last year.

Wilson said he could not discuss the details of the incidents because it is an ongoing investigation.

He said that in a typical case of a pedophile, the victims know the offender.

Court documents cited by the Chieftain gave the following account:

Bartleson befriended his victims through his community work. He reportedly was active with the Boy Scouts, the Interfaith Hospitality Network and the dependency unit at Parkview Medical Center.

He also met boys through Republican rallies during McCain's presidential campaign last year.

Bartleson would invite boys to spend the night at his home, where he has a downstairs bedroom. The invitation was usually made with the consent of the boys' parents.

However, during the night, Bartleson would make the boys sleep in his bedroom, where he would fondle them.

When some of the boys showered in the downstairs bathroom, Bartleson allegedly videotaped them through an outside window.

Some 900 individuals remain under investigation. In early 2003, British police began to close in on some top suspects in the Operation Ore investigation, including senior members of Blair's government.



However, Blair issued a D-Notice, resulting in a gag order on the press from publishing any details of the investigation. Blair cited the impending war in Iraq as a reason for the D-Notice. Police also discovered links between British Labour government paedophile suspects and the trafficking of children for purposes of prostitution from Belgium and Portugal (including young boys from the Casa Pia orphanage in Portugal).

In the United States, Operation Ore's counterpart was Operation Avalanche. However, U.S. authorities only charged 100 people out of 35,000 investigated. The international paedophile investigation began when Dallas police and the US Postal Inspection Service raided the offices of Landslide Productions of Fort Worth, Texas and confiscated records on thousands of people around the world who were child pornography customers of the firm. Landslide's halcyon days as a Fort Worth-based international online marketplace of kiddie porn was during the term of Texas Governor George W. Bush.

WMR has learned that the Bush administration, like that of Blair, is rife with paedophiles in top positions. The paedophile network also extends to the U.S. defense industry, particularly some of the companies that have been involved in the sexual abuse of minors at overt and covert U.S. prisons in Abu Ghraib, Iraq; Guantanamo, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Thailand, and now, at three prisons in Ethiopia.

Lyon used his computer "to pursue his interest and perhaps curiosity in this type of material. He searched for it on the internet and, when found, downloaded it for his delectation later", said Ms Karmy-Jones.

Lyon, 38, from Stanford le Hope in Essex, denies 12 specimen charges of making an indecent image of a child between October 2001 and April 2002. "It is like a drug, you try one and you want to try something harder, and it has a snowball effect," he is alleged to have told officers when arrested.

Lyon worked in the Upper Table Office, where he met MPs, the Speaker, and Deputy Speaker while checking parliamentary questions and administering early day motions. "He needed skills in computing and the internet," said Ms Karmy-Jones. "He is an intelligent individual, and knew full well what he was doing." When first interviewed, he allegedly told police he did not distribute material - "I just look at pictures."

Ms Karmy-Jones told jurors: "This case is about child pornography - what others might call photos of child abuse. When I say child abuse, it may sound harsh, but it is the nature of these images which is central to the case. They are unpleasant and disturbing."

She said the issue might be whether it was Lyon who downloaded the images. "We say it is clear he was that man."

Why, when Thomas Hamilton's application for a gun licence was turned down, due to him being regarded as a man of unsound character [and] him being the object of several paedophilia investigations, did his MP, our friend George Robertson (now Lord Robertson, Secretary-General of NATO), write him a glowing character reference, and personally see to it that his application was successful, when he knew the grounds for the original refusal were because he was suspected of procuring boys for sexual services?"



Dunblane may have been just over 11 years ago, but the questions still loom, that have to be answered.

The repair technician found indecent images of children. 7000 more images were uncovered, with emails showing that other children were at serious risk. Investigation into the digital camera used to record the abuse exposed another of the accusers' identities. Sophisticated tracking equipment pinpointed this individual's broadband Wi-Fi signals in a specific area of Edinburgh, Scotland. Further investigation by the police revealed the identities of all eight paedophiles.

Eight men who hid behind middle-class respectability to operate Scotland's largest-known paedophile ring were last night facing lengthy jail sentences after police successfully exposed a highly complex network of child abuse and pornography.

Lothian and Borders Police said after the nine-week trial at the High Court in Edinburgh that information on 70 more individuals with suspected links to the paedophile ring had been passed to other forces throughout the UK as a result of its Operation Algebra.

Ringleaders Neil Strachan, 41, and James Rennie, 38, both of Edinburgh, were found guilty yesterday of abusing young boys and distributing images and video of their depraved acts and now face a possible life prison sentence.

The pair will undergo "a full risk assessment", which would allow the court to impose an order for lifelong restriction - similar to a life sentence - in which the judge imposes a minimum sentence, but will only be freed when the parole board consider it safe to do so.

Rennie, the former chief executive of LGBT Youth Scotland, a national support group for young gay people, began his campaign of abuse when the child, who he used to babysit, was only three months old.

The former secondary school teacher enjoyed a high social and professional profile through his work in which he regularly spoke out in public on gay issues, particularly how they affected young people.

But the High Court heard he was "polluted by deviant compulsion". Crown QC Dorothy Bain said: "In reality he is someone who allowed his profound interest in the sexual abuse of children to engulf his entire life."

Strachan, who is HIV positive and already has two previous convictions for child abuse, molested at least two children, one just 18 months old.

Strachan, Rennie, Milligan, along with Ross Webber, 27, of North Berwick, a supervisor with RBS and Craig Boath, 24, an insurance worker from Dundee, were found guilty of conspiring to get access to a child or children to commit abuse.

From various locations across Scotland, they plotted, whether by using web cameras or other means such as by phone, to participate in sexual offences, including rape and sodomy.

Neil Campbell, 46, a church elder and bellringer at Jordanhill Parish Church in Glasgow, was also accused of the conspiracy, but he was cleared on that charge after the jury found the case against not proven.

John Murphy, 44, a former teacher who worked as a receptionist in a gay sauna, and Colin Slaven, 23, an IT worker from Edinburgh, were found guilty of various offences relating to the possession of indecent photographs of children along with the other six defendants.

Detective Superintendent Allan Jones, who led the Lothian and Borders inquiry team, said that more than 35 people have been arrested or were subject to enforcement action.

Two investigations are continuing in Scotland. He added: "This case, known as Operation Algebra, was one of the biggest and most challenging ever investigated by the force and represented the largest paedophile network dismantled in Scotland.

"As the investigation unfolded it revealed a web of people who had a common interest in child sexual abuse."

Apart from Strachan, none of the accused was known to the police, Detective Superintendent Jones said. "All led classic double lives. Some of them were respected members of their professions and communities."

Mr Jones said the use of the conspiracy charge in this case was "particularly significant", marking the first time it had been brought against individuals in a network.

The paedophile ring was first exposed after Strachan, an engineer for a paint mixing firm, handed in his work's computer hard drive for repair. An engineer found images of a naked boy on it and handed the machine to police.

Strachan, despite the severity of his offence, was the only one of the eight men on trial who denied every charge against him. Prosecutors were forced to piece together the case against him.

Last night, the mother of one of the abused babies released a statement which detailed her family's anguish - and her hopes that her son would go on to live a normal, happy life.

All the men were remanded in custody to await sentencing. Strachan and Rennie will be sentenced in July.

De twee journalisten die de reportages op hun naam hebben staan, Martin Froberg en Roelf van Til, zijn niet meer bij Netwerk werkzaam en hebben zelfs hun medewerking verleend aan een cover-up door in 2004 te verklaren dat de ‘topambtenaar Joris’ die zo prominent in hun reportage optreedt niet Joris Demmink zou zijn, maar een ‘andere hoge ambtenaar’ die op VWS zou werken.

Deze draai van 180 graden van ‘onthullen’ naar ‘verhullen’ zien we vaker in deze zaak. Het NOS Journaal, zo blijkt uit de Runderkamp-papers, heeft tot 2003 serieus onderzoek naar de zaak gedaan en zelfs in de uitzending gemeld dat Demmink heeft toegegeven kinderen te misbruiken. Na intimidatie door de advocaat van Demmink, Harro Knijff, nam het Journaal reeds direct gas terug en is nadien nooit meer op de zaak teruggekomen. Dezelfde Knijff is erin geslaagd de bladen Panorama en de Gay Krant (zie feitenoverzicht) dermate de stuipen op het lijf te jagen dat het woord ‘Demmink’ sinds 2003 nooit meer is uitgesproken op beide redacties. Dan De Telegraaf, de krant van Pedofiel Nederland. Deze krant heeft wel de meest opzienbarende rol gespeeld door tot medio 2007 het voortouw te nemen in het blootleggen van de pedofielen-netwerk maar reeds een jaar later de rol van ‘onthullen’ te verwisselen voor die van ‘verhullen’ door out of the blue met het verhaal te komen dat Demmink ‘het slachtoffer zou zijn van een maffia-complot’. Hier zien we vermoedelijk de hand van Sjuul Paradijs die volgens diverse bronnen banden onderhoudt met Joris Demmink die hij ongetwijfeld goed heeft leren kennen in het Haagse party-circuit waar Paradijs zijn ’sporen’ als journalist eerder heeft achtergelaten dan verdiend. De laatste week is het radio-station Arrow Classic Rock in beeld gekomen dat de nek heeft uitgestoken door als eerste een interview te brengen met de webmaster van deze site, maar reeds direct daarop ‘in een juridische situatie’ belandde die ervoor zorgde dat de podcast van het interview niet op de eigen website geplaatst kon worden. Ook een vervolginterview dat reeds was aangekondigd voor de dag na het eerste interview ging niet door, al kan dat nog altijd in het vat zitten: de signalen die we thans doorkrijgen zijn dat Arrow graag op het onderwerp door wil gaan. Het enige programma dat tussentijds (13 juli 2007) nog op een enigzins ‘onthullende’ wijze aandacht aan de zaak besteedde was EenVandaag waarin ook weer fragmenten te zien waren van de Netwerk-uitzendingen van 1998. Mede dankzij deze fragmenten waarin we horen dat er in 1998 sprake was van een ‘topambtenaar Joris’ die op Justitie werkzaam is, hebben we de zaak ‘rond’ kunnen krijgen.

Ronduit verbijsterend is de rol van ‘kwaliteitskranten’ als NRC Handelsblad en De Volkskrant. NRC heeft bijvoorbeeld twee keer aandacht aan Joris Demmink besteed: een keer in een groot portret waarin Demmink de hemel in wordt geprezen als ‘geestig, slim, scherp en teruggetrokken’ en een keer is een stuk waarin werd ‘onthuld’ dat ‘onderzoek heeft aangetoond’ dat Demmink ‘helemaal schoon’ is.

Precies wat zou er gebeuren als het bekend zou worden dat er een vrij hoog aantal kinderen (per dag) slachtoffer is van deze gruwelijke daden, natuurlijk raakt dat mensen dieper en het zou hun ogen openen, gevoelige informatie openbaren ten nadele van hen, nee dat is niet wat ze willen en deze info zou dan net iets te gevoelig zijn.
