Nou, lui kan je ze in ieder geval niet noemen. 52.5 uur per week voor scientology werken en dan ook nog een baan hebben waarmee ze de kosten van hun levensonderhoud kunnen voorzien? Ik zie het toch meer als een soort moderne contractueel vastgelegde slavenarbeid.

Scientology is geen sekteReporter John Sweeney trok naar Amerika, de bakermat van Scientology. Zijn intentie was er te praten met Scientology-leden en ex-leden en zo meer te weten te komen over de, nu ja, sekte.

Dat is maar ten dele gelukt, maar de reportage is er niet slechter van geworden.

Om maar meteen met de deur in huis te vallen: Scientology is uit de grond gestampt door een leugenaar, ze zijn meedogenloos voor hun critici en de beroemdheden die ze voor hun kar weten te spannen hebben meestal geen idee waarover ze het hebben. Sweeney zegt genoeg mensen te hebben gesproken om het zo te mogen stellen

Geen wonder, denk je dan, dat ze overal op hun reis door de States werden gevolgd of vooraf gegaan door Tommy Davis, top Scientologist. Bijzonder onaangenaam werken maar Scientology wilde er zich van vergewissen dat er geen leugens over hen verspreid werden. Want Scientology, dat is geen sekte!

Op een bepaald moment verliest Sweeney zijn zelfbeheersing en vliegt uit tegen Davis. Tommy Davis had Sweeney waar hij hem hebben wou, het kwaad was geschied.

De zoektocht naar het hoe en wat van Scientology draaide niet meteen uit zoals verwacht, maar de reportage zegt misschien wel meer over de sekte dan op een andere manier zou zijn aangetoond.

Klopt, maar wat is er nieuw aan in deze wereld? Wat is het verschil van deze cult met andere religies? Doen of deden deze niet precies hetzelfde? Met tot zichzelf geproclameerde profeten? Een oude vriend van mij was atheist maar is nu samen met zijn vrouw totaal omgeturnd en sinds aantal jaren lid geworden van een een of ander christelijke gemeente. Ik vind dat hij totaal gebrainwashed is en hij stopt al z'n geld in deze gemeente. Vind het best wel een cult. Er zijn best wel veel van deze bewegingen in Nederland, maar daar hoor je nooit wat van over in de Nederlandse kranten. Dit omdat ze "christelijk" zijn, en dan is het opeens in orde

The Scientology cult, of which Hollywood actors Tom Cruise and John Travolta are the most familiar public followers, has threatened transparency group Wikileaks, demanding that it remove "unpublished, copyrighted" Scientology documents. The Scientology documents, which were released by Wikileaks last month, are restricted from the public and low ranking cult members.

The March 27 letter, from the cult's Los Angeles lawyers, Moxon & Kobrin also asked, in an apparent attempt to trace the source of the materials, that Wikileaks preserve any related records, "..not limited to, logs, data entry sheets, applications -- electronic or otherwise, registrations forms, billings statements or invoices, computer print-outs, disks, hard drives, etc.". However, the Wikileaks site, by design, keeps no logs of its submissions, or even of its readers.

The cult's lawyers presented Wikileaks with a list of copyright registrations for its secret "religious technology" made with the United States Copyright Office and some examples of international court cases related to previous Scientology legal attacks on publishers. These examples reveal part of a long history of reported Scientology abuse of the legal system and are clearly aimed at putting pressure on Wikileaks to remove the content.

The documents, according to the legal letter, are owned by a Scientology holding company, the Religious Technology Center (RTC), which claims ownership of the "confidential Advanced Technology of the Scientology religion" — the secret "bibles" of the cult.

The content, consisting of typed as well as hand-written pages by the cult founder, the late science fiction writer and con-man L. Ron Hubbard, describes OT "levels" I-VIII as well as related "NOTs" and other aspects of cult dogma and operations. The public is usually introduced to the cult through its "free stess test" stalls, L. Ron Hubbard's book 1950's pseudo-science book "Dianetics", or fronts such as Narconon, Criminon and the Citizens Commission on Human Rights. Cult members are normally thoroughly indoctrinated before they are introduced to higher level Scientology "bibles", such as "OT-III", which describe all human problems as having being originated by the evil galactic overlord, Xenu, some 75 million years ago. While parts of the material have appeared previously, if briefly due to legal action, others parts appear to be original to the Wikileaks release.

Wikileaks will not comply with legally abusive requests from Scientology any more than Wikileaks has complied with similar demands from Swiss banks, London Banks, Russian off-shore stem cell centers, former African Kleptocrats, or the Pentagon. Wikileaks will remain a place where people of the world may safely expose injustice and corruption. Indeed, in response to the attempted suppression, Wikileaks will release several thousand pages of additional Scientology materials next week.

Hey, dat lijkt precies hetzelfde plaatje van de Aarde dat gebruikt werd in die bomdreiging op youtube, waarvan de 'kerk' toevallig ook een highres versie in zijn bezit had en fragmenten ervan op dvd's verspreidt naar critici en media als bewijs dat anonymous een terroristische organisatie is.

The cold food was brought out to us in metal bowls - the cold left-overs. If you weren't the first in line to eat, you had to eat the scraps that were left at the bottom. Sometimes there was hardly any food left. We didn't have breaks except to eat. We were behind barbed-wire fences with motion detectors, cameras and armed guards. There was one bathroom and one shower for about 30 people who were being held over at the OGH area. We lived in small trailers, packed with bunk beds up to the ceiling. I slept on an air mattress on the top bunk and would freeze every night as there was no insulation in the mattress and all I had was a sheet and a thin blanket. My body was literally a foot away from the ceiling and I can't count the times I woke up from nightmares and hit my head on the ceiling. We worked out in the hot desert sun every day and were then interrogated in sec checks for up to 6 hours each night. We had to write up our crimes. All of this to be signed by us when Scientology finally decided we could leave. I was never allowed to leave and had to figure out another route of escape, which worked and is why I am typing this up for you to read today.

The fact that this RPF Flag Order was finally leaked PROOVES that this is the sick shit that Scientology has going on behind closed doors. There it is IN-WRITING for all to see. That's only ONE issue leaked. There are plently of other Sea Org issues and internal documents that would make that one look like a beautiful day at the beach. I can't wait to see what else surfaces.

To those who have doubted what we've been saying about the RPF and Sea Org prison camps, do you believe us now?

I heard a radio interview the other day where someone was saying that RPFers have a choice to leave or stay. This is absolute BS. There's no way you can just say, "I'm leaving" and start walking off. You DON"T HAVE THAT CHOICE. That is a bullshit PR line that Scientology uses to make you think that these people are there by their own wills. No one ever decides that they want to do the RPF, it's not a choice. "Technically you can leave" - BULLSHIT.

I had to pretend that I was "handled" and wanted to stay. Getting out for me ment 6 more months of cleaning toilets as a lowly scum bag before even being allowed to go off the base at all. The only thing on my mind was GTFO of the Sea Org. Within a couple days of being able to go off the base, I was GONE.
