De Nijmeegse club heeft serieus geïnformeerd naar de rechtsback. Feyenoord wil Tiendallu graag verhuren.

Een andere Feyenoord-verdediger, Karim Saïdi, is dicht bij een vertrek naar het Turkse Sivasspor. De Egyptenaar staat al tijden op een zijspoor en maakt zelfs geen deel meer uit van de A-selectie van trainer Van Marwijk. Saïdi speelde voor het laatst tegen Groningen in de play-offs. Sivasspor wil Saïdi deze week nog vastleggen.

Feyenoord heeft verder twee jonge Zuid-Afrikanen, Kermit Erasmus en Philani Khwela, vastgelegd. Beide spelers komen van Supersport United, de Zuid-Afrikaanse club waarmee Feyenoord een samenwerkingsverband heeft.

Erasmus meldt zich komende zomer, als hij 18 jaar wordt en daarmee speelgerechtigd. De jongere Khwela meldt zich een jaar later. Beide talenten waren onlangs een paar weken op proef in Rotterdam. ,,Toen lieten ze een goede indruk achter aldus manager Peter Bosz. ,,Het zijn twee jongens die we rustig willen brengen.

Amajita coach Serame Letsoaka on Monday arrived back in South Africa “a happy man”, as his youngsters impressed in Germany at the Mercedes-Benz Junior Cup.
Amajita participated in Stuttgart at the annuall five-a-side indoor under-19 tournament. On both days the indoor stadium, Sindelfinger Glaspalast, was packed with 5 000 spectators, who, as Letsoaka stressed, “became firm fans of our team.”

Amajita played six matches, winning four, drawing one, but lost in the quarterfinal against Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb. Supersport United’s exciting 17-year-old striker, Kermit Erasmus, was selected as the Player of the Tournament. “It was a nice learning experience,” Erasmus modestly commented, before complaining about the “cold” in Germany.

He admitted having enjoyed playing in front of such “an enthusiastic crowd, whose support kept us warm.”

Scouts from Bundesliga outfit Vfb Stuttgart got so excited about Erasmus, who scored three goals, that they immediately wanted to sign the Matsatsantsa talent. However, the Port Elizabeth-born player has already signed a long-term deal with Dutch club Feyenoord Rotterdam, which starts in July.

There was more individual success for the South Africans, as goalkeeper Blessing Makhathini was voted Goalkeeper of the Tournament. Makhathini plays for Bright Stars in KwaZulu-Natal.

“We played good soccer and entertained the crowds,” Letsoaka reflected, “It was another step to gain experience for these youngsters on the road to building a strong squad to qualify for the next Olympics.”

Kermit Erasmus zat vandaag als jongste speler ooit bij de Zuid-Afrikaanse selectie. Zuid-Afrika won een vriendschappelijke interland tegen Zimbabwe met 2-1 door een eigen doelpunt in blessuretijd van Zimbabwe. Feyenoord's nieuwe aanwinst Kermit Erasmus maakt furore in Zuid-Afrika en zat als 17-jarige voor het eerst bij het nationale elftal. Een debuut als jongste speler zat er nog niet in.

Kermit Erasmus notched up another accolade to his extremely successful first season in professional football when he was voted by the soccer loving fraternity as the Jet Club Premier Soccer League (PSL) Rookie of the Month (April).
This rising star, currently at SuperSport United, beat peers including AmaZulu goalkeeper, Mbongeni Mzimela, midfielder, Tawonga Chimodzi (Santos), Sandile Sibande and Tshepiso Tshabalala from BidVest Wits University and Orlando Pirates respectively to lay his hands on the R5 000 award.

This achievement automatically qualifies Erasmus for the ultimate prize if he is voted as the Jet Club PSL Rookie of the Year which goes along with R50 000 in prize money.

The Port Elizabeth-born-star, who has played nine games for SuperSport's senior team, could not believe his ears when the latest news was broken to him.

"I am shocked about what you are telling me. My dad is definitely going to be proud of me," said Erasmus who celebrates his 18th year birthday on July 8.

Erasmus joined SuperSport United academy at the age of 12 after he was spotted by the club scouts while representing the Eastern Province in the Danone Nations Cup back in 2002, said his achievement is the results of the support he has been given by his Club and fellow players.

"I have a very good relationship with the SuperSport players and my achievement should be seen as a collective effort and it proves how united we are at the club," added Erasmus who started playing football at the age of six when he joined his home amateur club, FC Rangers in 1996. He then moved to Park United in 1998.

His achievements this year include winning the player of the tournament in the Mercedes Benz Under-20 Junior Cup which was held in Germany earlier this year, and receiving a senior national call to the Bafana Bafana team that played Zimbabwe in an international match.

Erasmus also boasts seven caps for the national Under-17 squad and two with the Olympic team (national Under-23 side).

Erasmus, who has since signed a deal with an overseas club, Feyenoord, in the Netherlands, says that from now until the end of the season he is going to work hard to enhance his chances of winning the Jet Club PSL Rookie of the Year Award.

"I know it is not going to be a walk in the park, but I am prepared to pay the prize. When I exit the country's Premiership to Feyenoord on the 1st of July I want it to be in style," added Erasmus, who has one goal to his credit since making his professional debut a few months ago when United defeated Free State Stars 1-0.
