    Huishoudelijke mededeling :
    Wil iedereen bij het stemmen er nog goed op letten dat je niet (per ongeluk) op een film stemt, die er al uitgestemd is?

    Nog één mededeling:
    De meeste mensen doen het al, maar als je een film eruit stemt, wil je het dan aangeven met ? Latere stemmers weten dan op welke film er wel of niet gestemd kan worden.

    En ohja nog één mededeling: Forrest Gump heeft er wel eens beter voor gestaan

    Oh, en hoe werkt dat dan?

    In dit geval heb ik de Imdb-top 250 van zondagavond 18 februari in vijf gelijke delen willekeurig opgedeeld. In de eerste poule zitten dus 50 films, die bij aanvang ieder 7 punten hebben gekregen. Vervolgens gaan we in de poulefase zo ver dat er 10 films overblijven (de overige 40 films zijn naar 0 punten gestemd). Na 5 poules strijden de 50 overgebleven films in de allesbeslissende finale . Tot zover de organisatie van de survivalgame!

    Klinkt allemaal erg leuk! Zijn er nog andere huishoudelijke regels?

    Nou niet hele strikte regels enzo, maar probeer bijvoorbeeld wel een beetje gevarieerd te stemmen. Elke dag -1 voor twee LotR-films en +1 voor Terminator 2 doen is niet echt heel tof ofzo. Je stemmen dienen ten opzichte van de vorige dag op minstens twee films verschillen. Je kunt dus wel telkens elke dag op dezelfde LotR-film stemmen. Verder mag je de lijst wel kopiëren bij het toekennen van de stemmen, maar ik vrees dat dat een zootje zou kunnen worden. Ik houd het in ieder geval apart bij in een kekke excelsheet en zal vrijwel elke dag een update plaatsen met de tussenstand .
    En ohja ook hier geldt natuurlijk de welbekende tournamentregel: alleen stemmen op een film als je hem gezien hebt!

    Ja! Starten maar met stemmen . Dat er maar veel gestemd gaat worden en dat er natuurlijk ook veel verhitte discussies mogen ontstaan . Verdere vragen en opmerkingen kunnen uiteraard in dit topic gepost worden .

    Wel vervelend dat niet veel mensen ook die ouwe shit hebben gezien want zo hebben die "klassiekers" een voordeel door de "welbekende tournamentregel: alleen stemmen op een film als je hem gezien hebt!"
    Gelukkig heb ik wel veel van die ouwe zooi gezien (en gehaat) en kan ik met een gerust hart er een paar naar beneden drukken.

    Of een cursus PI's lezen . Het klopt wel dat comedy vaak een ondergeschoven genre is. Mag soms best wel wat meer waardering krijgen. Niet die ranzigheid zoals Date Movie, maar de meer sophisticated comedy's in het straatje Lost in Translation en Good Bye Lenin!. Oke, die twee films worden al best goed gewaardeerd, maar mijn punt is duidelijk.

    En Manhattan had gewoon in de finalepoule moeten staan natuurlijk.

    Eigenlijk is het helemaal niet leuk om minstemmen te geven aan films die je gewoon goed vindt. Maar die heb je tenminste gezien en die plusstemmen zijn zo waardevol.

Daar zit een hoop rotzooi tussen waar je je minstemmen lekker op kunt afreageren.

    Zo'n survivalgame met 1000 films met de meeste votes zou aan de andere kant weer redelijk voorspelbaar worden. Uiteraard vliegen films als Indepedence Day en Armageddon er dan zo uit. De pret en/of frustatie is bij zo'n vorm veel minder aanwezig dan.

    Het is inderdaad logisch dat films met veel votes veel te verduren hebben en dat een onbekendere film als Kind Hearts and Coronets er nog lang kan zitten zonder ook maar een plusstem te hebben ontvangen. Gelukkig is deze niet zo heel boeiende film er alsnog uitgevlogen. Ondanks dit nadeel vind ik het gelukkig nog steeds wel een tof concept. Ik zou niet weten hoe de finale anders georganiseerd kan worden, zodat bijvoorbeeld Pulp Fiction niet meteen weggestemd wordt. Je zou het een handicap kunnen geven (startwaarde 10 punten ipv 7), maar dat is suffig en maakt het allemaal maar ingewikkeld. Ik zou ook niet weten op basis van welke criteria je zo'n handicap moet toekennen.

    Echte verbetering is ook moeilijk te realiseren.

    Of je zou bijvoorbeeld de 150 of 200 films met de meeste votes uit de imdb top 250 moeten nemen.
    Of andersom, de 250 hoogstgewaardeerde films van de films die in de top 1000 staan op basis van votes. Maar dat wordt denk ik wat omslachtig en ook dan zullen nadelen naar boven komen borrelen in de praktijk.

    Dit is leuk zat inderdaad.

    Er is niets mis met het concept, het is lekker onvoorspelbaar. Alleen zal de eindwinst eigenlijk vrij weinig betekenen, beetje een loterij.

    Hij zegt juist dat daar niets mis mee is. Dat er alleen erg weinig op gestemd wordt. En dat kun je niet ontkennen.

    Ik ga mijn stemstrategie voor de finale niet verklappen. Ik zit het nog uit te werken op een whiteboard. De voorrondes hebben zoveel inzichten opgeleverd en die heb ik nog niet volledig kunnen analyseren .
