Al bekend dat de #99 niet zal meenemen aan de 24hr door de crash van gisteren?

Le Mans - Craft-Bamboo Racing has withdrawn its #99 Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE from the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans, due to damage sustained in the first practice qualifying session late last night (11 June).
The driver of the car, Fernando Rees (BR), was taken to the medical centre following the incident, which occurred at Porsche Curves, and was discharged with bruising to his ankle.
“The impact with the barrier was at high speed, so the most important thing is that Fernando is okay,” commented Richard Coleman CEO of Craft-Bamboo Racing. “It is disappointing to have to withdraw from the race but the car cannot be fixed from here. Our mechanics worked relentlessly on the car throughout the night but it was impossible to restore it to the safety standards required for racing."
“We must now go forward and focus on the second half of the World Endurance Championship. We will not let this disrupt the incredibly positive start to the season and will continue to progress as a team going forward, with our sights set firmly on success."

Het ziet er trouwens naar uit dat we echt een strijd gaan hebben. Audi lijkt wat achter te lopen maar zijn altijd sterk in de race. Toyota en Porsche zijn snel, en Toyota heeft ook het voordeel dat ze het langst door kunnen op een tank benzine.
Als de Toyota's niet kapot gaan en niet crashen gaan ze winnen denk ik, maar het wordt close.

Enige jammere aan de regels is die restrictie op het gebruikte energie per ronde... maar ja. Het is denk ik wel de makkelijkste manier om een goede BoP te krijgen zonder strafgewichten enzo.

Best een kans op, als het donker wordt. En ze hebben volgens mij nog steeds geen vol gas gegeven.quote:
