van TV.comquote:In its 2nd season, this one-hour drama is loaded with stars.
Brian O'Hara (Barry Watson,"7th Heaven"),at 34, is the last single guy in his group of friends (3 couples at different stages) who live in Los Angeles. They are excited for Brian to join their "club" as married people.
What happened in Season 1:
Couple #1- His best friend, Adam (Matthew Davis,"Legally Blonde") was going to break up with perfect Marjorie (Sarah Lancaster ,"Everwood"), but proposed instead.
Couple #2- Brian's sister, Nic (Rosanna Arquette,"Pulp Fiction"), and her boy-toy husband, Angelo (Raoul Bova,"Under the Tuscan Sun"), are trying hard to have kids.
Couple #3- The bohemian Dave (Rick Gomez,"Band of Brothers") and Deena (Amanda Detmer,"Kiss the Bride") have three little girls (one is a new baby) and have been married for 13 years.
And, like all married people, they can't wait for Brian to join their "club," though they're not exactly sure why.
In Season 2:
Couple #1- His best friend, Adam is now married to Heather/Summer.
Couple #2- Brian's sister, Nic and her boy-toy husband, Angelo are having a baby, but Angelo was killed in an automobile accident.
Couple #3- The bohemian Dave and Deena have three little girls (one is a new baby) and have been married for 13 years, But are now separated.
Dave and Brian ran a video game business called Zap Monkey (closes in season 2).
As for Brian, well, he's holding out hope that one day he'll open the door and be blinded by love.

We kunnen gedag zeggen dus tegen een derde seizoen, such low ratingsquote:What About 'Brian'? Co-Star Books Pilot
March 26, 2007
Monday night marks the second season finale of ABC's "What About Brian" and at least one of the drama's co-stars may have doubts about the low-rated show's future.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amanda Detmer has booked a lead role in CBS' comedy "1321 Clover." The comedy is a documentary-style look at a typical suburban family and will feature Detmer and Paul F. Thompkins as the central married couple, with Logan Grove as one of their two children.
Presumably the comedy is in second position to "What About Brian" for Detmer, whose other credits include "Saving Silverman" and "The Majestic."
With an average weekly viewership of only 5.75 million, "What About Brian" is considered a decided longshot for renewal.
