de getekende versie ziet er gewoon veel mooier en leuker uit
op een paar uitzonderingen na zien al die 3D films er dood uit en sfeerloos

nog nooit een pixar film gezien ?

Waarom niet cell-shaden, dan krijg je echt het tekenfilm/stripgevoel...

Nuja, de smurfen kan best leuk zijn, even afwachten op de trailers enzo.

84-year-old acting veteran Jonathan Winters is tipped to voice Papa Smurf in the upcoming live-action/CGI "Smurfs" movie reports UGO.

The information comes soon after a casting call sheet hit Spoiler TV revealing a little bit about the plot, namely the Smurfs themselves end up in our human world where a first-time expectant mother with an overworked husband finds her house overrun by the miniature blue creatures.

Winters actually voiced various characters on the original 1981 "Smurfs" show.

Jonathan Winters, George Lopez, Katy Perry and Alan Cumming have all joined the cast of "The Smurfs" film for Sony Pictures says Variety.

As reported yesterday Neil Patrick Harris will play the lead live-action character. The four additions today will voice various members of the miniature blue-skinned race.

Specifically Perry as Smurfette, Alan Cumming as Gutsy Smurf and George Lopez as Grouchy Smurf. Winters, who voiced multiple characters on the original cartoon, will play Papa Smurf.

Katy Perry gaat de stem van Smurfin inspreken. In de film 'The smurfs' zal de zangeres de enige vrouwelijke smurf van het blauwe volkje van een stem voorzien. De film zal een combinatie worden van echte beelden en animatie. Naast Katy zullen onder andere ook Alan Cumming en George Lopez een smurfenrol inspreken. The smurfs zal naar verwachting in 2011 uitkomen.

Nu maar hopen dat Paul van Gorcum en Corry vd Linden wel te horen zijn in de NL versie.
Misschien wil Ger Smit ook weer meedoen.

With a "Smurfs" movie coming together some 30-plus years after the franchise broke through here, names are coming fast and furious of who will be providing the voices of the iconic blue characters. We caught up with a "Smurfs" co-star who is decidedly taller than three apples high to get the scoop on his character.

"I'm Gutsy," Alan Cumming revealed when we spoke to him over the weekend at Elton John's Oscar viewing party. As best as we can tell, there was never a "Gutsy" on the 1981-89 cartoon series, which hooked millions of little kids on the idea of tiny blue people with stubby tails living in giant mushrooms.

Cumming also told MTV News that Quentin Tarantino would be playing Papa Smurf's right-hand man, Brainy, but a publicist for the "Inglourious Basterds" director denied his involvement.

"Other voices are Katy Perry; she's Smurfette," Cumming said of the "I Kissed a Girl" singer, who will be making her theatrical debut as the voice of the most prominent woman to live with all those dozens of little blue dudes. "George Lopez [as Grouchy] is another one."

Revealing further details, Cumming added that the previously announced Neil Patrick Harris would be playing what sounds like a brand-new human character — and that the Smurfs' evil nemesis could be a big name. "Gargamel, I'm not sure [if I can say]; they're still negotiating with someone that would be fabulous," he said. "Neil Patrick Harris is [playing] the nice man who helps us."

"Smurfs" is targeting a July 29, 2011, release and will likely be in 3-D. Stay tuned, as additional Smurfs names are likely to emerge in the upcoming days and weeks

Hank Azaria is set to voice the evil sorcerer Gargamel in "The Smurfs" film adaptation for Sony Pictures says Entertainment Weekly.

The story follows a couple expecting their first child who find their lives turned upside-down when they meet the miniature blue creatures in New York City's Central Park.

Neil Patrick Harris and "Glee" star Jayma Mays will play the couple. Filming kicks off next month for an August 2011 release.

There are so many things to worry about in the world these days, but you can cross one off the list: Quentin Tarantino won’t be playing Brainy Smurf in the big-screen version of “The Smurfs” after all.

“There were conversations about it, but it didn’t work out,” says Hannah Minghella, president of Sony Pictures Animation, which is making the movie with a blend of live-action and animation. “Quentin is such a fanboy that it was part of the appeal.”

Tarantino won’t portray the little know-it-all Smurf, but other notable names are lining up with intense interest about joining the tribe of miniature blue imps.

“You have no idea,” Minghella said of the blue-in-the-face lobbying by agents who want their stars to be part of the revival.

So far, the ensemble includes Jonathan Winters as Papa Smurf, Katy Perry as Smurfette, George Lopez as Grouchy Smurf and Kevin James as Hefty Smurf and Alan Cumming (who has prior experience in the wild blue yonder of cinema) as Gutsy Smurf.

Hank Azaria, the stalwart of “The Simpsons” who memorably chewed the historic scenery in “Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian,” will be Gargamel, the sour sorcerer who just absolutely hates the tiny blue folk.

While most Americans recognize the Smurfs from the Hanna-Barbera cartoon that ran from 1981 to 1990 -- and the mountain of tie-in merchandising -- what they might not know is that the little people were created in 1958 by Belgian cartoonist Peyo, whose real name was Pierre Culliford.

“The property is 50 years old,” Minghella said. “In Europe, it has never ceased to be a current popular
phenomenon. It still airs in prime time in certain countries around the world.”

With filming underway in New York City on Sony Pictures Animation's "The Smurfs", the studio has issued a press release announcing the various key roles - both the live-action humans and the voices of the computer-animated little creatures.

As previously announced Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Sofia Vergara, and Hank Azaria will star in the human roles. Azaria will play the Smurfs' nemesis, the evil wizard Gargamel. Harris and Mays star as an expectant couple whose lives are turned upside down when the Smurfs cross over from their magical village to New York City. Vergara plays Odile, Harris's boss, a cosmetics executive.

In terms of the voices of the Smurfs themselves we have Anton Yelchin as Clumsy Smurf, Jonathan Winters as Papa Smurf, Katy Perry as Smurfette, Alan Cumming as Gutsy Smurf, "SNL's" Fred Armisen as Brainy Smurf and George Lopez as Grouchy Smurf.
