While finishing her world tour in Japan, Madonna took time out from her busy schedule to shoot the video for her latest single Jump! The shoot took place in many outdoor locations through out Tokyo, as well as a sound stage. Madonna and hair stylist Andy LeCompte decided to take her look to a whole new level and try using a platinum blonde bob wig for this video. The result is everyone loved the wig so much, that it made a cameo in the last two nights of the Confessions Tour! Madonna adopts baby boy

LILONGWE (Reuters) - Pop diva Madonna adopted a young boy in Malawi on Wednesday and moved ahead with plans to fund a center for 1,000 orphans, many of whom lost parents to AIDS in the impoverished African nation.

The "Material Girl" and an entourage arrived in the Malawian capital Lilongwe by private plane early on Wednesday and were quickly whisked away to an undisclosed location in a fleet of cars and trucks.

Government officials said the 48-year-old singer, already a mother of two, chose the one-year-old orphan from among 12 children specially chosen prior to her arrival in the country, which has legions of children orphaned by the AIDS epidemic.

"She asked us to identify boys only, which we have done after visiting four orphanages in Lilongwe," government spokeswoman Adrina Michiela said. Michiela said Madonna had wanted to adopt a girl but changed her mind two weeks ago.

It was unclear whether Madonna, for whom Malawi waived its ban on non-resident adoptions, would leave the country with her adopted baby or whether they would be reunited at a later date.

The trip has stoked high expectations in Malawi, a nation of 13 million people who are dependent on tobacco exports.

Madonna has said she plans to spend at least $3 million on programs to support orphans in Malawi and another $1 million to fund a documentary about the plight of children in the country.

She traveled to Mphandula, a village 20 km (12.5 miles) outside Lilongwe, where she is funding the construction of the Raising Malawi center to feed and educate around 1,000 orphans.

Residents in Mphandula, which has no electricity, were earlier busy rehearsing songs and preparing for her arrival.

Critics have described the project as a publicity stunt that follows in the footsteps of other celebrities, including actress Angelina Jolie, who have taken up causes on the world's poorest continent.

As part of their studies, orphans at the center will be taught a curriculum based on Spirituality for Kids linked to the Kabbalah school of mysticism to which Madonna adheres.

Kamer kritisch over adoptie Madonna

DEN HAAG - VVD en CDA hebben woensdag felle kritiek geuit op de adoptie van een eenjarig jongetje uit Malawi door de Britse popster Madonna. Tijdens de behandeling van de begroting van Buitenlandse Zaken vroeg VVD-woordvoerder Zsolt Szabo minister Agnes van Ardenne voor Ontwikkelingssamenwerking haar gewicht in de strijd te werpen om dit soort adoptietoerisme een halt toe te roepen.

Tot zijn schrik kwam het liberale Kamerlid er woensdag achter dat Madonna nog doorgaat met „haar moderne rooftocht'. Ze zou ook nog een driejarig meisje uit hetzelfde dorp willen adopteren, meldde een Brits blad.

Szabo vond vooral de manier waarop de adoptie tot stand kwam, door de regels van Malawi te omzeilen, verwerpelijk. „Heel aaibaar en zielig en het doet het goed in de media, maar de gedachte erachter van 'wij zijn rijk en jullie zijn zielig en arm', deugt niet”, aldus Szabo.

Madonna had er volgens hem beter aan gedaan haar rijkdom in te zetten om het geboortedorp van het halve weesjongetje David Banda te ondersteunen. Als de kinderen in Londen zijn, heeft Malawi er niets aan.

De VVD'er werd op zijn beurt bekritiseerd door SP-Kamerlid Harry van Bommel. Hij verweet Szabo zelf makkelijk mee te liften op de aandacht van de media voor deze kwestie.

British tabloids had it partly right: Rock star Madonna’s dad, Michigan vintner Silvio "Tony" Ciccone has cancer, but it’s prostate, not colon, and he’s not dying.

Reached at his winery in Suttons Bay this morning, Ciccone said the cancer was caught in the early stages and he will undergo radiation therapy after Thanksgiving. "I am not worried," said Joan Ciccone, his wife. "Everybody assures us that it’s treatable."

Meanwhile, Ciccone Vineyards is launching a new collector’s series of Madonna wines, with labels based on Madonna’s latest "Confessions" tour, priced at $39.95. There are five wines from the 2005 vintage, all produced with Michigan grapes at Ciccone Vineyards in Suttons Bay, Mich. Each is signed by the rock star and Ciccone.

The wines were launched last week at a charity event in Grand Rapids, and are available at G.B. Russo & Son in Grand Rapids, Luciano’s restaurant in Ludington, and at the winery. Plans are in the making for national distribution, including to Manhattan restaurants.

John Russo, owner of G.B. Russo, said he has worked with the Ciccones for two years on the secret "M Project," the Madonna wines, and said wine consultants from France, Italy and Chile were called in to help.
