Duitsland - Hoewel Tunesië, Iran en Saoudi-Arabië al zijn uitgeschakeld op het wereldkampioenschap voetbal, is er toch nog een moslimvoetballer actief op het WK.
Het is Franck Ribéry, de aanvaller van Les Bleus. Hij is opgegroeid in een franse cité tussen de moslims, en voor zijn huwelijk met de Algerijnse Wahida besloot hij zich tot de islam te bekeren
