2:23 p.m. - A new launch time has been established for 2:50 p.m. due to a computer problem with the Deep Space Network. The issue has been resolved.
2:15 p.m. - The latest weather data is being uploaded into the Atlas rocket. We are continuing to monitor the winds, working toward a launch of 2:30 p.m. this afternoon.
2:10 p.m. - Wind issues for the countdown are continuing to be assesed. At this time, we're still at T-4 and holding.
2:07 p.m. - A mandatory tracking station, located in Antigua in the eastern Carribean, has gone off-line. This station must be operational for launch. There's an expectation that it will be available at 2:20 p.m.

NASA TV is trouwens best leuk om naar te kijken als je je verveeld.... ze hebben best vaak mission reports van het ISS enzo, zie je astronauten hun dagelijkse bezigheden doen, en expirimentjes enzo

Licht dus alleen aan de wind en het wachten is dus op een beter weerbeeld maar er wordt nog steeds gemikt op 3.05pm (21.05 hier)

New Horizons is de aller eerste missie naar Pluto toe. Ze lanceren hem zo snel, omdat pluto steeds verder van de aarde verwijderd. Vanwege een zeer gunstige positie van Jupiter kan NASA deze als zwaartekrachtcatapult gebruiken.
De aankomst tijd zal ongeveer tussen 2018 en 2020 zijn...
