Viola handed stadium ban
Fiorentina have been handed a one-match stadium ban as a result of crowd disturbances at the Stadio Franchi.
The Italian disciplinary commission have enforced the suspension after trouble marred the Tuscan derby against Empoli at the weekend.
Fiorentina, who are flying high in fourth place, had already been warned about fans’ conduct following the heated Coppa Italia clash against Juventus.
The Viola will now have to play their match against Chievo on January 15 on neutral ground – unless they successfully lodge an appeal.

Inter confirm Obinna arrival
Inter have confirmed that Victor Obinna of Chievo will be joining them in the January transfer window.
Obinna, whose registration is part-owned by the Nerazzurri, has enjoyed a superb first four months in Serie A, where he has scored four goals for the Verona outfit.
The Nigerian’s rise to prominence has been so meteoric that his national team even included him in their preliminary African Cup of Nations squad.
It appears, though, that following Inter chief Massimo Moratti’s announcement that Obinna will be joining them next month, the 19-year-old has decided against representing his country.
"We have already reached an agreement and completed negotiations with Chievo to bring him to us," confirmed Moratti today.

Toni has Barcelona dream
Fiorentina striker Luca Toni has said that he would jump at the chance of joining Barcelona. "I’d go there straight away," he surprisingly stated.
Serie A’s leading goalscorer has attracted a number of interested clubs after an exceptional first four months with the Viola, during which he has netted 16 goals in 17 appearances for the Tuscan club.
However, the Modena-born attacker has said that his greatest ambition is to put on the Blaugrana shirt of the Spanish champions.
"I would love to play for Barcelona," he admitted. "If I get the chance towards the end of my career I would like to go and try new experiences but, in the case of Barcelona, I’d go right now."
Earlier in the season Toni was linked with a possible move to Real Madrid – an association he laughed off as wishful thinking, but it is the Catalan side who attracts him more than the Galacticos.
"I prefer Barcelona because they are the best team around right now," he explained. "They have the best player in the world by far in Ronaldinho and so I would love to play for them.
"Having said that, I wouldn’t be upset if Real were to show an interest," he added.

Di Vaio joins Monaco on loan
Monaco have completed the six-month loan signing of Italian striker Marco Di Vaio from Valencia.
The principality club have also secured an option to sign Di Vaio, 29, at the end of the season.
The international forward, who was also said to be an Inter target, becomes Francesco Guidolin’s first signing as Monaco Coach.
Formerly of Juventus and Parma, Di Vaio has featured just five times in La Liga this season and is keen to play more regularly to improve his chances of making Italy’s World Cup squad.
Monaco have agreed to cover 50 per cent of his wages, or in other words about £70,000 a month.
Di Vaio had also been linked with Marseille, but the presence of Guidolin, an Italian trainer, ultimately swayed the deal Monaco's way.
The transfer could spark a move for out-of-favour Monegasque Emmanuel Adebayor, who may find himself surplus to requirements at the Stade Louis II.
Togo’s World Cup hero has many admirers, with Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain and a host of Premiership clubs keen on the tall striker.
