Een plek om te discussiėren over filosofische vragen, filosofen, religieuze vraagstukken of religie en levensbeschouwing in het algemeen.
Klopt ja, ik vind ook niet dat relieuze organisaties ook maar iets van belastingvoordeel moeten krijgen. Elke religie is wat mij betreft inhoudelijk even vreemd, maar Scientology heeft toch net even iets meer iets buitenaards en geheimzinnigs en dat is wat het zo interessant maakt vind ik.

Hubbard heeft in een lezing ook ergens geschreven, oh mr hubbard wrote it so it probably is oke, and thats all the thinking that you will ever put into it. NO its not that easy you lazy nogiets... Hij brengt het op een grappige manier maar maakt wel duidelijk dat mensen echt zelf moeten nadenken over de stellingen. Hij heeft ook ergens in een beleidsbrief staan dat because mr hubbard said so GEEN goed argument is.
Kijk het is natuurlijk logisch dat als je vind dat die hubbard poep praat je waarschijnlijk uberhaupt niet bij scientology ooit iets zult gaan doen. Je zult dus vooral mensen vinden bij scientology die denken dat die hubbard gelijk had en die zijn ideeen interessant vinden. En uit ervaring moet ik eerlijk zeggen dat ik binnen de organisatie ook wel eens mensen ben tegengekomen die wel verdomt snel dingen aannamen van hem zonder er een kritische blik over te werpen. Maar de kern van scientology filosofie is wel degelijk dat je zelf moet kijken wat waar is, dat kan niemand anders namelijk voor je doen.
Dat lijkt me ook wel fijn toch als organisatie, maar naast dat willen ze het ook als bescherming tegen aanvallen van buitenaf en willen ze gewoon gezien worden voor wat het is, en dat is een religie. En geld is zeker niet onbelangrijk voor geen enkele religie denk ik, ik bedoel heb je vaticaanstad wel eens goed bekeken en wie hebben dat betaald? Maar er is in ieder geval 1 ding veel belangrijker dan geld en dat is volgens mij waarom mensen hun religie sponseren. En dat zijn de ideeen die de religie omvat. En ideeen zijn niet uit te drukken in geld.

Die site doet me een beetje denken aan die lege "positief denken"-boekjes. Elke dag een tip om gelukkiger te worden. "Zorg voor jezelf", "Ben geduldig" en zo.
David Miscavige heeft onlangs bijna alle LRH boeken gewijzigd, zogenaamd omdat er vertaalfouten in zouden zitten. Dat profeet Hubbard daar zelf niets van doorhad is vreemd, misschien had ie achteraf toch wat minder aan de drugs, alcohol en pillen moeten zitten. Scientologists kunnen in ieder geval al weer diep in de buidel tasten, voor zover er nog iets te tasten valt.

Daar heb je wel een goed punt mr data, het zet de deur wel open voor invulling van David Miscavage himself.
Wat trouwens nieuw is, is dat de 18 boeken die het basiswerk vormen van scientology nu voor het eerst in 15 verschillende talen zijn gepubliceerd. En de cursussen zijn niet echt nodig denk ik zelf. De 18 boeken gezamenlijk kosten 453 Euro voor niet scientologen en 390 voor scientology mensen die lid zijn van de IAS (International Asociation of Scientologists.)
Ik heb nog een tijdje meegeholpen met proeflezen van de boeken in Denemarken en die zijn zeker wel leuk. Over verantwoordelijkheid, de grenzen wat een verstand wel en niet kan, het bevat tevens de basisaxiomas en logicas van scientology als voortbestaan, begrip etc. Definitie van Zelf determinisme, het levenscontinuum en ook twee routes om je geest te exterioriseren.
Ik ben heel benieuwd iig en ga ze morgen uit Amsterdam halen.

De informatie is dat je respect hebt voor andermans religie, niet een moeilijk stukje info me dunkt edoch je moet deze postlijn maar eens doorlezen hoe moeilijk het kan zijn voor mensen om respect op te brengen voor een nieuwe religieuze stroming zonder dat ze zelf met de inhoud bekend zijn.quote:Op zaterdag 28 juli 2007 00:54 schreef StupidByNature het volgende:

En dit is idd 1 uit een serie filmpjes die de 21 morele waarden vormen voor een moderne maatschappij zoals ze het zelf zeggen.
Ik denk dat het idd is bedoeld om jezelf gelukkiger te voelen, niet alleen op individueel nivo maar ook op maatschappelijk nivo. Als je gelukkig zijn idd niet nastreeft hebben ze waarschijnlijk niet zo veel waarde. Toch vormt het voor veel scientologen in ieder geval een soort basis hoe je met het leven om kunt gaan. Het is zoals ze zelf zeggen de eerste morele code gebaseerd op gezond verstand en niet zo zeer op religieuze dogma`s gebaseerd zoals de tien geboden. Dus als je een hoog,"dit kan ik zelf ook wel verzinnen" gehalte heeft dan klopt dat precies gezien jezelf waarschijnlijk ook over gezond verstand beschikt. Desalniettemin vind ik het zelf leuke en mooi gemaakte filmpjes.

National Church of Scientology Recognized in Spain
Today, the National Court in Madrid issued a landmark decision affirming the right to religious freedom in Spain by recognizing that the National Church of Scientology of Spain should be entered in the Registry of Religious Entities.
"This recognition marks the end of an era in which Spanish Scientologists were forced to fight for their rights to religious freedom. It vindicates the Church of Scientology and is a new beginning for all Spanish Scientologists," said Ivan Arjona, spokesperson for the National Church of Scientology in Spain.
The National Court thoroughly examined the Church's formative documents and aims and purposes to unequivocally determine that the National Church of Scientology of Spain has the right to be registered as a religion under Spanish law.
In reaching this decision, the National Court also relied on decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, most notably the Human Rights Court's unanimous decision of April 2007 affirming that the Church of Scientology is entitled to the rights and protections of religious freedom that flow to religious organizations pursuant to Article 9 of the European Human Rights Convention. The principles enunciated in that decision upheld the religious freedom of Scientologists and their religious associations and apply throughout the forty-seven member states that have signed and ratified the European Human Rights Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
"This is the culmination of a series of landmark victories for the Church of Scientology in Europe. Thanks to this recognition, we are now able to devote all our effort and attention to making our community and our country the best it can be, for all its people. The National Court's decision is extremely significant because it constitutes the latest official recognition of the Church of Scientology as a religious organization in Europe. It mandates that Scientologists and their religious associations be afforded the same rights and privileges as members of other registered religious organizations throughout the European Community and in the European Union." Arjona said.
In September 2004, the National Church of Scientology of Spain opened grand new premises in the heart of Madrid. That new Scientology church represents not only a house of worship for the thousands of Scientologists in the country, but a resource to the community and nation at large. The Church's social betterment programs reach millions of people every year.
The Scientology religion was founded by L. Ron Hubbard. The first church was established in the United States in 1954. Since then, it has grown to more than 7,500 churches, missions and groups and ten million members in 163 nations.
Scientology first came to Spain in the late 1960s.
