Ik accepteer vanaf nu geen nominaties meer van mensen die te lui zijn om even te checken of Platoon nog niet al genomineerd is. Of uberhaupt denken dat Saving Private Ryan nog niet genomineerd is als de nominatie ronde al 4 pagina's ver is.

En ook geen nominaties zonder jaartal. Want ik kan nu niet bijvoorbeeld zeker weten of de twee mensen die Underground hebben genomineerd, het wel over dezelfde film hebben.

Ik zie een film, die mij aandoet als een artsy-fartsy film over de Joegoslavische geschiedenis. En een film met een standaard WO II cover met nazi's en al. Dan lijkt het me logisch dat ik twijfel.

Nominatieronde is hierbij gesloten.

Er zijn in totaal 120 films genomineerd. Dit betekent dat er 8 gelukkige topfilms zijn die automatisch een plaats in de tweede ronde hebben verdiend. Zodat de overige 112 films hier nu kunnen vechten om de overige 56 plaatsen in die tweede ronde.
De 8 films die door mogen zijn de 8 films met de hoogste notereringen in de Imdb War top 50. Dat vond ik wel een goede kwalificatie. Dit zijn:

Maar nog een keer voor de nieuwkomer:. De film van je keuze kan je aangeven door deze bold te maken of de andere weg te halen/door strepen. Kies alleen als je beide films hebt gezien, en niet omdat die film toevallig net je lievelingsfilm is en zeker niet als we als in de finales zijn beland. Dit is regelrechte competitievervalsing. En zal in eerste instantie leiden tot diskwalificatie van de desbetreffende stemmen. En kan bij herhaling zelfs leiden tot een plaats in het zwarte boekje van de organisaiite. Wat min of meer inhoud, dat de organisatie in deze en alle volgende tournaments uw post compleet zal negeren.
Ik wil niet zeggen hoe u uw keuze moet maken, maar probeert u wel er zoveel mogelijk rekening mee te houden dat we hier bezig zijn met het verkiezen van de beste oorlogsfilm allertijden. Dit is een breedbegrip en iedereen verstaat iets anders onder oorlogsfilms. Maar u zult met mij eens zijn dat Donnie Darko een beter film is dan de meerderheid van de hier genoemde films. Maar in de verste verte niet in de buurt komt van alle genoemde films als we kijken naar de beste oorlogsfilm. Wat ik dus probeer te vragen is of als uw twijfels heeft of een film hier wel thuis hoort. Ik het op prijs zal stellen als u daar tegen stemt, ookal vind u de tegenstander als film misschien minder. Dit om te voorkomen dat we zometeen in de finale zitten met jankers die vinden dat de overgebleven films helemaal hier niet thuishoren.

Bij gelijkspel zal eerst herteld worden met gewogen stemmen. Mocht hierna nog gelijkstaan, dan volgt een shoot-out van een bepaalde aangegeven tijd. Daarna beslist de organisatie op grond van andere criteria (persoonlijke voorkeur, imdb votes, geilste actrice, meeste bloed en ontploffingen etc)
