CL 2005/2006 - deel 1: de voorronden

Over ruim een week de eerste lotingen voor het nieuwe CL seizoen waarbij voor de eerste twee voorrondes geloot wordt. De volgende 74 ploegen kunnen allen proberen de CL te winnen.

* Er is een "gewogen loting" met twee bakken waar 'sterker teams' tegenover zwakkere teams staan. LFC heeft een dusdanige Europese coefficient dat ze in alle lotingingen in de bak met sterkste teams zitten. Echter Ze hebben alleen geen 'landenbescherming' wat inhoudt dat ze in de voorrondes of later in de werkelijke CL ook tegen andere Engelse teams kunnen staan (normaal is dat niet mogelijk). "This means they could face Everton in the third qualifying round, but not Manchester United, and could be in a group with Chelsea, but not Arsenal."
