Morgenavond komt de track Invaders Must Die als gratis download beschikbaar op www.theprodigy.com na de premiere op BBC1.

Vrijdag komt dan de videoclip van IMD beschikbaar op www.theprodigy.com en als HD download op de XBOX 360 omdat Prodigy een van de headliners is van Xtival '08, http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/xtival08/

The Prodigy return with the release of their fifth studio album and a free download.
‘Invaders Must Die’ is 40 minutes of having your head battered by future nostalgia, serotonin levels twisted by feel-good horrorcore and your synapses snapped by whiplash attitude. It's the sound of The Prodigy mixing up genres, contorting the past and rewiring the future, ram-raiding through the tranquility of music's status quo like a blot on the landscape of England's dreaming.

The first thing you notice about Invaders Must Die it is how complete it sounds, a consistent collection of bangers all firing from the same cannon. The next thing you notice about Invaders Must Die is just how melodic it is. Not just melody in the vocal sense but in the heyday-of-hardcore keyboard-hookline sense. Yes, if The Prodigy have learned anything from the hugely successful live shows was that those old skool rave anthems still rock hard - and are every bit as iconic to their generation as punk was to the nation's forty-somethings.

The Prodigy - Warning

Warning was toch zeker wel een van de vetste live tracks van de laatste jaren, de originele versie uit 2005 blijft wel mijn favoriet. Misschien komt Warning in een live versie wel op de bonus cd.

Liam heeft o.a. beats van Warning gebruikt voor Run With the Wolves.

The group’s producer Cordelia Plunket explained why they chose the forts: “It fits in well with the theme of the video as from a distance they do look like aliens climbing out of the sea.

“We’ve painted a huge Prodigy ant (the group’s logo) on top of it and we also had a helicopter out there buzzing over the top to get some aerial shots too.“It’s been a huge success and we’d like to come here again.”

Edit: wow beetje vreemd en ff wennen maar wel lekker nummer. Beetje old school en beetje Justice invloeden.

Goede track, prima album opener (en dit is dan nog de single edit) en belooft veel goeds voor de rest van het album.

Ik heb m binnen En klinkt ziek Misschien iets te gelikt, maar nog steeds koel

Inderdaad nog te gelikt om echt Experience of Jilted Generation te zijn, maar dit nummer is al beter dan heel Always Outnumbered,... Mooi dat ze in ieder geval ook met hun tijd meegaan en iets durven te 'vernieuwen'

Klinkt gruwelijk inderdaad. Heerlijk weer.

Liam had dat al een beetje aangegeven, oude geluid in een modern (gelikt) jasje. Dat hoor je ook in Worlds On Fire.

Album zal zeker nog betere tracks hebben, Warrior's Dance staat er tenslotte op

Lekker nummer, maar klinkt veel meer als een nieuwe track van Justice dan van The Prodigy....

Doet me eerder een beetje aan Pendulum denken, waarbij dan ook gedacht kan worden of Pendulum niet op The Prodigy lijkt...

Klinkt wel vetjes.

Laat ik dan eens wat negatiever zijn: het is weinig anders dan ze de laatste jaren maken. Na Fat is het snel bergafwaarts gegaan.

Een beetje Justice achtig!
