Postma resigned to Villa exit 05/07/05
Aston Villa goalkeeper Stefan Postma admits his days at the club are numbered following the signing of Stuart Taylor from Arsenal.
Postma was already looking for a move to obtain regular first-team football after being kept on the sidelines by number one Thomas Sorensen. But he is likely to slip further down the pecking order with the arrival of Taylor and is poised for a move after three years with Villa.
Postma said: "On one hand I am happy that Stuart is here because it makes it easier for me to leave if I can find myself a new club. But on the other hand I was saddened when I heard he had signed because that is almost certainly the end of me at Villa."
He continued: "That is disappointing because I came here three years ago with a dream of playing for Villa in the Premiership but I've played only a few games.
"There are clubs in Holland and England who have been in touch and now we are just waiting for the right moment to have talks."
The 29-year-old added: "I've got no grievance with Villa. It's a great club and the fans have been superb with me but it's all about wanting first team football."
