De zin vanaf 'why' t/m 'lessons' is een aparte zin en heeft dus ook zijn eigen persoonsvorm nodig. Deze persoonsvorm moet ook finite zijn (dus geen infinitief), dus het moet 'try' or 'are trying' zijn.
U foutief is aan het proberend zijn. al gezegd hebben wat het goede antwoord zijnde moet. Proberend dat eens begrijpend te lezend.

Je zet die persoon wel heel hard op z'n plaats zo, met mogelijk genoeg brandstof om een hele flamewar te ontsteken. Op internationale fora moet je je sowieso niet te druk te maken over de engelse taal. Niet iedereen heeft engels als moedertaal of heeft een graad in de engelse taal. Maar dan is het ook niet correct om anderen op hun fouten te wijzen (pot, ketel, zwartzien).
