Tijdens de Nintendo presentatie die op het moment nog in volle gang is heeft Reggie himself de Gameboy Micro aangekondigd. Dit kleine apparaatje is net iets groter dan een I-pod mini en weegt maar ongeveer 2/3 hiervan. Verwacht wordt dat de Gameboy Micro in de herfst uitkomt. Of dat ook in Europa is, is niet bekend.
Van wat je kon zien leek het erop dat het ongeveer het uiterlijk heeft van de originele Gameboy Advance met een D-pad links en 2 knoppen rechts. Het schermpje schijnt één van de meeste heldere schermpjes te zijn die tot nu toe zijn gebruikt door Nintendo.

The Game Boy Advance line remains tied for the most popular video game system of this generation.
