Je hebt er maanden lang naar uitgekeken, die kouwe winter wou maar eerst niet om.
Traag en langzaam kropen langs de weken, maar eindelijk daar was ‘ie toch : de zon.

't scherpe hoge zoemen van een mug.
Dan denk je ha daar is ‘ie dan, dit wordt misschien een zomer van een eeuw
maar lieve mensen ,o wat gaat dat vlug.

De wereld was toen vol van licht en leven, van haringgeur vermengd met zonnebrand
