Dat laatste klopt niet. Het is van oorsprong een Frans nummer van Claude François, 'Comme D'Habitude'. Paul Anka vertaalde het alleen naar het Engels, voor zichzelf bovendien. Sinatra coverde Anka's versie.

Toch een nummer over een icoon uit de popgeschiedenis (Janis Joplin)

Pearl was idd de bijnaam van JJ, maar als je de tekst leest kan dat toch niet op haar slaan. JJ zong niet in een nachtclub en droomde echt niet dat ze Betty Grable was. Grappen vertellen kon ze overigens wel als de beste: zie daarvoor de film 'Festival Express' (sowieso een aanrader).
