Niet alleen komt de naam van de productiemaatschappij van een film van Godard, ook een dansscene uit de film is geïnspireerd door die film.

De film van Godard is natuurlijk Bande à part (1964)
- I've never quite understood why 
's name appears so prominently as a star in this film. She gets herself murdered pretty early in the film and thus isn't really a factor in the film. This is a pretty good one though, a thriller about finding her murderer.
- But after you find out who the murderer is and what was the reason for killing Kate the movie goes on with what seems to be some kind of dream sequence as well as an in depth and x-rated explanation of the killers motives and problems that left the audience more confused then it already was.

This movie is kind of slow until the first killing, and then it really picks up. I have to say that I was pretty hooked, and couldn't call the ending even with the little clues that were thrown in. The only thing that this film suffers form is some of the corny mugging for the camera during the nude scenes. Also, the first killing doesn't really hold up as well now, but if you can get past that, this is not a bad way to pass the time.

************** has all the styling of a great thriller. It holds amazing artistic direction, and there are breathtaking, I mean absolutely amazing scenes where there is no dialogue. These scenes when the music and acting runs everything, something few directors could achieve, at least on this level. But..... it's a painfully obvious rip-off of
. No dialogue, some music, great camera work and excellent acting from without even saying one line. This scene is so clever, it has you on the edge of your seat, willing her to make contact with the mysterious stranger. Then the director does something to his audience which quite frankly blew my socks off - he kills off the main character one third into the film. I must admit, watching this again I was taken aback that was written out so early, but now realise that this was a master stoke as it is totally unexpected and has more impact than say a stranger getting murdered early on in the film. With gone, it's up to to take over the main female lead. A great actress she is not - but does her best with the script she is given. The film starts to race away with its twist's and turns and when the finale comes and the killer is revealed, we are then treated to one last truly shocking scene.
