Waarom zou Marduk niet tot één van de eerst Black Metal bands gerekend kunnen worden? We zien Burzum allemaal toch ook als één van de grondleggers terwijl hij zijn albums zo rond '92-'93 schreef. Natuurlijk zijn de echte oude bands Venom en Bathory
Wat de lyrics betreft: In de black metal zijn ze altijd nogal grof en politiek-incorrect maar da's meesteal nou net het interessante eraan, ookal ben je het er niet mee eens. Zo ben ik het zeker niet eens met Burzum's xenophobie en anti-allesgedoe, maar vind ik zijn muziek nog steeds GEWELDIG. Nu kan ik mij af en toe wel storen aan het anti-homo gebeuren, omdat dat bij mij ietjes gevoeliger ligt
