Summary: Feeling good movie
I had one of the worst days in my life as I came home to see this promising movie. And yet at the beginning as I heard the Proclaimers with "500 Miles" (I don't know why)I felt better. I knew this film was gonna be something very special. And it kept what it promised. This is the perfect movie if you feel terribly down.

Summary: One of the best movies of today
I'm a classic movie fanatic. I find it hard to appreciate post-mid-sixties films very much, because against the lush backdrop of hundreds of old films with depth and meaning and class, the modern films look like rhinestones among the diamonds. [?] is an exception. Along with "Somewhere in Time", I have actually watched this movie more than once and really like it. One definite plus is the fact that the four-letter words are down to a very bare minimum - I hate hearing people talk like that, and here it only happens once that I recall. (Not that it needed to happen at all, but anyway). Also the love scene is not graphic - it only shows them kissing. I really like [?]'s character being so devoted to [?] - he really loved her. See this movie!

Summary: "Flaky" film falls fast
One thing that I hate is when someone rips off somebody and calls it "homage". Brian DePalma has made a career of it. Here [?] steals Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton bits. Call me an old crank but I don't remember anything in the movie saying where these parts originated. Why watch this pale imitation with good hair do it when it was does much better over 50 years ago? As for the story, two crazy mixed up kids find each other and love. Sounds like a sure-fire winner to me. We can also thank this film for foisting [?] onto the critical radar (unfortunately). At least she didn't take her clothes off in this one. Interesting to see Dan Hedaya in a wimpy role though.

is quite good, although at times, her character is treated as an afterthought. I suspect that part of the reason this is less well thought of than it deserves is that it's a quiet, off-beat romantic comedy with characters a bit too odd for most people's comfort. Most people don't react well to "different" in real life, let alone films. Very well-done and worth watching.
