We blijven waakzaam."
quote:Father speaks of ‘fifty bullets to Novak’s chest’
As Novak Djokovic fast approaches his flight out of Australia, his father has hit out at the federal government on social media.
Djokovic’s father Srdjan Djokovic took to Instagram after his son’s deportation.
“The assassination attempt on the best sportsman in the world is over, 50 bullets to Novak’s chest - after all, he gives support to a young 17-year-old player, so that’s Nole, a man, a brother, see you in Paris,” Djokovic senior posted.
Serbian media are reporting the support to a young player may relate to Novak Djokovic’s message of support sent to Adelaide International winner, Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis, who is 25.
Srdjan Djokovic had led protests against Novak’s detention in Belgrade over the past week and spoke at fiery press conferences where he directly slammed Prime Minister Scott Morrison while comparing his son to “Spartacus” and “Jesus”.

Novak Djokovic is the controlling shareholder in a Danish biotech firm aiming to develop a treatment for Covid-19 that does not involve vaccination, it has emerged.
The world No 1, who was deported from Australia this week after the government cancelled his visa in a dispute over a medical exemption relating to his unvaccinated status, bought an 80% stake in QuantBioRes in 2020.
