PÆNDA has been selected to represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song “Limits”.
PÆNDA has been internally selected by ORF to represent Austria in Tel Aviv with the song “Limits”. PÆNDA is a fairly unknown singer, much like the singers that have been selected by ORF for Eurovision in recent years.
The reveal took place during the Ö3 alarm clock show by presenter Eberhard Forcher. Eberhard Forcher has been involved in this year’s internal selection and was previously involved in the process which selected Nathan Trent (2017) and Cesar Sampson (2018) for Eurovision.
PÆNDA explained her stage name saying;
Whenever I wake up in the morning, I just look like a panda around my eyes!
In 2018, placed 3rd at Eurovision in Lisbon with his song “Nobody But You”. Cesar topped the jury voting receiving nine sets of 12 points from the jury before finishing 13th with the public televote on 71 points. Austria have won the contest twice in history, most recently in 2014 with Conchita Wurst. The 2015 contest was held in Vienna.

PÆNDA was revealed yesterday morning as the Austrian entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The singer who was internally selected by ORF to take part in the contest will be performing the song “Limits”. “Limits” is an “atmospherically charged electronic pop ballad” and will be revealed to the public in the next couple of weeks.
